(Picture: Riot Games)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Now, two months after thos announcement, it appears the first hints of this have begun to emerge.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/prtimes.jp\/main\/html\/rd\/amp\/p\/000000209.000024470.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sources within Japan<\/a>, a series of open and invitational tournaments will take place over the next few months, which will serve to crown a regional champion that will get a guaranteed ticket to the Wild Rift World Championship.<\/p>\n<h3>First Wild Rift esports tournaments in Japan<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/KW4z_RXDQFuq7UMxdbiaLCmYg8NoBod1Lqfd_KY-fG4\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL1NraW5zL1dpbGRfUmlmdF9Xb3JsZHNfMy5qcGc\" alt=\"Wild Rift Worlds\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" loading=\"lazy\"><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(Picture: Riot Games)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As stated by Riot Games Japan, the <strong>Wild Rift Invitational &#8211; The Opening Games<\/strong> will take place on 24th April, where eight teams made up of pro players and content creators from Japan will compete for a prize pool of 1.5 million yen (approx. US&#36;13,730).<\/p>\n<p>The next two tournaments, called <strong>Wild Rift Open Tournament &#8211; All Player&#8217;s Rift<\/strong>, will take place from 29-30th May, and from 5-6th June, being tournaments with open qualifiers with registration open from from 26th April.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/wild-rift\/esl-announce-wild-rift-premiership-for-uk-ireland-and-nordics\">ESL announce Wild Rift Premiership for UK, Ireland and Nordics<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The top teams from the open tournaments will be awarded from a prize pool of 3 million yen (approx.
