Fnatic have benched Kostas “tsack” Theodoropoulos. Tsack announced the move himself and comes the day after the team failed to qualify for the first Challengers event of VCT Stage 2 after losing to Alliance 2-0 in the final qualifying match.<\/p>\n

Fnatic has flattered to deceive ever since the roster was picked up<\/a> off the back of an impressive performance in December’s First Strike Europe when the team, then known as SUMN FC, reached the grand finals only to be beaten by Team Heretics<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At that time SUMN FC was considered the best-unsigned team in Europe however since then their performances have been average at best failing to make the first Challengers events of Stage 1 and then failing to qualify for Masters through Challengers 2 and 3.<\/p>\n

With the competition only getting fiercer, and the prizes greater, Fnatic has clearly decided a change is the only way to go.<\/p>\n

Before tsack revealed he had been benched, Colin “Cojo” Johnson, Fnatic’s Team Director for Valorant, wrote in a tweet:<\/p>\n

“We came into Valorant with the ambition to be the best and despite immense work from all players and our performance team, we haven’t met our goals so we’ll spend the next week assessing how to move on from here.”<\/p>\n

Who Fnatic look to replace Tsack, is less clear, the roster was one of the longest-standing in European Valorant and prizing tier 1 talent away from other teams while Stage 2<\/a> is in full swing won’t be easy.<\/p>\n
