On 26th March 2021, esports organization Cloud9 put their CS:GO division on hold<\/a>, benching all players in the “Colossus” and opening them up for transfer offers. Earlier this week, Cloud9 also released their assistant coach, so it was only a matter of time before the British caster turned CS:GO general manager would have to leave as well. Henry “HenryG” Greer has parted ways with Cloud9, leaving his general manager role behind.<\/p>\n

HenryG parts ways with Cloud9<\/h2>\n

On 8th March, before Cloud9’s CS:GO roster was put on hold, HenryG spoke out<\/a> about the villain narrative forming around him, and defended his transparency about player salaries for the Colossus CS:GO roster.<\/p>\n

HenryG joined Cloud9 back in September 2020, with his main responsibility as GM of the CS:GO decision to create the ambitious Colossus European CS:GO roster. <\/p>\n

Several issues quickly became apparent, with coach Kassad leaving, and Woxic being released due to high ping as well as a “compromising time zone”. <\/p>\n

All this and much more, including struggles due to the COVID-19 pandemic, for example, not being able to get all their players in one place, led to Cloud9 to put their CS:GO division on hold.<\/p>\n

Now, HenryG has taken to Twitter to announce he is parting ways with Cloud9.<\/p>\n

HenryG explained<\/a> that he is taking a break but he will be back: “While the space is in this strange transition period I have decided to take a sabbatical and enjoy some of the normality that life has to offer. It’s certainly been a while. I will be back eventually when the right opportunity arises. Be good to each other.” <\/p>\n
