{"id":14777,"date":"2021-04-08T14:40:39","date_gmt":"2021-04-08T14:40:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/dead-by-daylight-trickster-receive-buff-new-update"},"modified":"2024-07-19T23:51:56","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T23:51:56","slug":"dead-by-daylight-trickster-receive-buff-new-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dead-by-daylight-trickster-receive-buff-new-update","title":{"rendered":"Dead by Daylight\u2019s Trickster to receive buff in new update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After being released last month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/dead-by-daylight-all-kill-chapter-update-460-patch-notes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dead by Daylight&rsquo;s latest killer Trickster<\/a> is set to be buffed in an upcoming update.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Developer Behaviour interactive outlined the changes in a <a href=\"https:\/\/forum.deadbydaylight.com\/en\/discussion\/240987\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">forum post<\/a>, which are intended to make Trickster &ldquo;feel better to play&rdquo; and give him a &ldquo;slight boost in power without feeling oppressive to play against&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p>The changes include improved movement speed while throwing knives, a decrease in the wind up time for his knives, along with the removal of random inaccuracy (known as spread) when it comes to throwing them at opponents.<\/p>\n<p>The changes will be rolled out in the 4.6.1 Bugfix Patch, which hasn&rsquo;t been given a release date yet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Trickster was added to Dead by Daylight as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/dead-by-daylight-all-kill-chapter-release-time-what-to-expect\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">All-Kill chapter<\/a>, which also included new survivor Yun-Jin Lee.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can check out the full list of changes for Trickster below.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read more:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/how-resident-evil-speedrunners-are-keeping-classics-alive-25-years-later\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How Resident Evil speedrunners are keeping the classics alive 25 years later<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>The Trickster changes in Dead by Daylight&#8217;s 4.6.1 bugfix patch<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/MNC9QfkZBBJOhWBSUAbcr0qUF2uTJ7xFcCBe58S7E_E\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL2RlYWRfYnlfZGF5bGlnaHRfdHJpY2tzdGUuanBn\" alt=\"dead_by_daylight_trickste\" width=\"1024\" height=\"493\" loading=\"lazy\"><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">The Trickster released last month (Picture: Behaviour Interactive)&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Keep Up<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increased movement speed while throwing knives from 3.68 -&gt; 2.68m\/s to 3.86 -&gt; 3.68m\/s<\/li>\n<li>Increased Main Event movement speed to 3.86m\/s<\/li>\n<li>Decreased Killing Part Chords &amp; Caged Heart Shoes effects respectively<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To help The Trickster keep up during a chase, we&rsquo;ve increased both his maximum and minimum movement speed while throwing knives. The speed penalty from throwing multiple knives is now significantly lower than before. This allows you to lose less ground while using your power and land more knives before losing sight of the Survivor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Draw Faster<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Decreased wind up time (readying knives) from 0.5 seconds to 0.35 seconds<\/li>\n<li>Increased wind down grace period from 1 second to 1.25 seconds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To make his power feel more fluid, we&rsquo;ve decreased the time it takes to ready his power. This will both feel better to use and give you a larger window to throw knives. As you&rsquo;ll be able to keep up much better than before, the grace period before you can do a basic attack after cancelling your power has been increased slightly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More Control<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Removed spread on thrown knives<\/li>\n<li>Greatly decreased recoil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Initially, The Trickster launched with both spread (random inaccuracy to each knife thrown) and recoil. As landing multiple hits on a sporadically moving Survivor can be a challenge on its own, we&rsquo;ve removed spread and significantly decreased recoil.
