{"id":15325,"date":"2021-04-20T15:37:38","date_gmt":"2021-04-20T15:37:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/warzone-operation-rapid-sunder-start-time-map-changes-rewards-challenges-more"},"modified":"2024-07-19T07:05:44","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T07:05:44","slug":"warzone-operation-rapid-sunder-start-time-map-changes-rewards-challenges-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/warzone-operation-rapid-sunder-start-time-map-changes-rewards-challenges-more","title":{"rendered":"Warzone Operation Rapid Sunder: Start time, map changes, rewards, challenges, more"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After months of rumours and speculations, the long-awaited Warzone Season 3 is almost here.<\/p>\n<p>Cold War and Warzone Season 3 officially starts this Thursday, 22nd April, and when it comes to Warzone, we can expect the biggest changes to date to be introduced to the game.<\/p>\n<p>It has been long speculated that the transition between Season 2 and Season 3 will bring a huge amount of changes to the battle royale and that changes are coming with the Operation Rapid Sunder event.<\/p>\n<h3>Operation Rapid Sunder schedule: Date and starting time<\/h3>\n<p>Warzone&#8217;s Operation Rapid Sunder event is set to start on 21st April 2021, a day before the start of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war\/cod-warzone-season-3-roadmap-map-update-hunt-for-adler-event-6-new-weapons-more\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Warzone Season 3.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Activision has shared the exact starting time of the event. 12 pm PT &ndash; 1 pm PT<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The event will probably last for two hours, and then the next seven hours will be a server downtime in order for everything to be prepared for the next season, which should start at 9 PM PT\/&nbsp; 12 AM ET \/ 6 AM CET.<\/p>\n<h3>Operation Rapid Sunder event Updates: Nukes and zombies<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/S-JYl2uMqFSxATZrXskcwepIl_zciivCFkevAXmuZLA\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9XYXJ6b25lL3dhcnpvbmVfc2Vhc29uXzNfem9tYmllcy5qcGc\" alt=\"Warzone Operation Rapid Sunder Date and starting time\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(Picture: Activision)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Although Activision hasn&#8217;t shared any details about the event at the time of writing, based on the ongoing events in Verdansk and all the leaks and rumours, the long-speculated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war\/is-warzone-s-verdansk-being-nuked-season-2-leaks-suggest-big-map-change\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nuking of Verdansk<\/a> might finally occur.<\/p>\n<p>Just a few weeks ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty\/warzone-nukes-are-falling-on-verdansk-early\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nukes actually started falling on Verdansk<\/a>, seemingly completely randomly, which is a clear sign that something related to nukes will happen at the end of Season 2.<\/p>\n<p>And at the end of last week, a mysterious green gas started spreading across Verdansk, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty\/warzone-players-are-turning-into-zombies-ahead-of-rumoured-nuking-event\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">turning dead players into Zombies.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Operation Rapid Sunder event map changes<\/h3>\n<p>This all but confirms the theory that Verdansk will be overflown with zombies, which will lead to a nuke event, and the map will transition to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty\/warzone-cold-war-80s-map-all-changes-leaks-release-date-and-more\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Cold War 80s version of Verdansk.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to a leak from a few weeks ago, the old Verdansk will be completely gone, to be replaced with the 80s themed Verdansk, which will align Warzone even more with Cold War thematically.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/HC7842G_hM49GaxzDodjEWeKL9rB9B018hQaVOhmhW4\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL3ZlcmRhbnNrLnBuZw\" alt=\"Warzone Season 3 map changes\" width=\"1024\" height=\"523\" loading=\"lazy\"><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(Picture: Activision)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to a leaked video, the Verdasnk Stadium will be seen during its construction process, a shift from previous states of the venue, moving from being shut down in one piece to ripped apart with parts of it crumbling down.<\/p>\n<p>Other changes include a massive structure replacing the mountain sections of the middle of the map, the dam and nearby structures being displaced by a bridge and wilderness and the subway railroads in a more archaic state.<\/p>\n<h3>Operation Rapid Sunder Event rewards and challenges<\/h3>\n<p>Activision hasn&#8217;t yet revealed any particular details when it comes to challenges and rewards included in this event, but as with any big event, we expect them to be included.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind that this will be a limited-time event, and it will possibly run just a week or less, so make sure to complete everything during that period and grab all the free rewards.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war\/ppsh-41-smg-how-to-unlock-in-warzone-and-cold-war\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PPSh-41 SMG: How to unlock in Warzone and Cold War<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will update the article with more information as soon as it becomes available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After months of rumours and speculations, the long-awaited Warzone Season 3 is almost here.
