Riot Games will now have permission to monitor and record Valorant<\/a> voice comms after the company announced an update to the Privacy Notice and Terms of Service.<\/p>\n

Shared via Riot’s official website<\/a>, the devs state that this decision will help them make Valorant and other games “safe and inclusive.” <\/p>\n

“In order for us to take action against players who use voice comms to harass others, use hate speech, or otherwise disrupt your experience, we need to know what those players are saying. Which is why, moving forward we’ll need the ability to analyze voice data.”<\/p>\n

Will Riot monitor live voice comms in Valorant?<\/h2>\n

Going more in-depth, Riot revealed they have been exploring how to tackle toxicity across their games, with voice comms being a new avenue for them to do so. On top of this, the company addressed the main concern within the community and confirmed they won’t actively monitor voice comms but will take a look at the logs while investigating a report.<\/p>\n

“We’ll only potentially listen to and review voice logs when disruptive voice behavior is reported.”<\/p>\n
