In the last few months, after being accused of promoting office bullying within the Polish studio CD Projekt RED, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz (director of The Witcher 3<\/a>) was subjected to a lengthy investigation in search of finding a response to these allegations, according to a Bloomberg report<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Although Tomaszkiewicz himself claimed to receive an internal email where he was declared not guilty at the end of the investigation, today the well-known game designer who worked on some of the most acclaimed titles of the company has officially submitted his resignation.<\/p>\n

Why did Konrad Tomaszkiewicz leave CDPR?<\/h2>\n

According to Tomaszkiewicz’s comments for Bloomberg, despite the result in his favour “a lot of people are feeling fear, stress or discomfort when working with him”, ending up apologizing to the studio’s staff “for all the bad blood he had caused.”<\/p>\n

At his farewell from the studio, Konrad noted he will work on improving his behaviour, as well as acknowledging that he feels “sad, a bit disappointed and resigned” with this situation.<\/p>\n

“I am going to continue working on myself,” he wrote. “Changing behaviour is a long and arduous process, but I’m not giving up, and I hope to change”, commented the now-former CDPR employee.<\/p>\n

During his career within the developer, he managed to catapult the Polish studio to fame, where he began his path as a junior tester for the first The Witcher in 2004, and his evolution led him to be the game director of the acclaimed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which won many GOTY awards during its release.<\/p>\n

Finally, he was listed as second director and head of production in the credits for Cyberpunk 2077<\/a>, a title that, although it broke pre-sales records, has had many controversies due to its quality control. Before his departure, Tomaszkiewicz was expected to reprise his role of director in the next The Witcher game.<\/p>\n
