The results of Riot Game’s three-month-long investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct levelled against Jay “Sinatraa” Won has found that the suspended esport star “misrepresented certain facts” and “made false statements” during the course of their investigation.<\/p>\n

Sinatraa will be suspended for six months, with time served meaning he will be able to return to the game on 10th September, under the condition that he completes “complete professional conduct training”. <\/p>\n

Riot states that they were unable to come to a “definitive conclusion” over the substance of the allegations and criticized Sinatraa for statements he made once the allegations become public knowledge in March of this year.<\/p>\n

At the time, the Sentinels’ player claimed<\/a> he was willing to give over an apparent sex tape that he claimed would exonerate him, but he failed to do so. Riot’s internal investigation was also brought to an end because of an ongoing criminal investigation.<\/a><\/p>\n

“While the investigation did not come to a definitive conclusion on the underlying allegations, the Competitive Operations team had serious concerns with Sinatraa’s conduct during the course of the investigation. It was determined that on at least two occasions Sinatraa misrepresented certain facts, made false statements, and did not cooperate with the investigation in a way expected of a professional VALORANT esports player,” Riot wrote in a statement.<\/p>\n

Riot acknowledges the complexity of the situation “within the context of a personal relationship” and thus they state that investigation can be reopened at any point if additional material comes to light that can provide new details and help them determine the truth behind the accusation.<\/p>\n

Sinatraa has recently spoken about his return to professional Valorant and streaming, claiming he “doesn’t know”<\/a> if he’ll return pro, but is planning to return to streaming “soon”.<\/a><\/p>\n

Due to suspension, Sinatraa will miss the Stage 3 Challenger season and final Masters event, but he will be eligible to return for the Last Chance Qualifiers and 2021 Champions event, provided Riot doesn’t extend his suspension.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
