The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/the-king-of-fighters\">King of Fighters<\/a> is one of them as many players have waited for the launch of The King of Fighters XV, the next instalment of the famous SNK franchise, and who have been revealing part of what they have prepared for this title.<\/p>\n<h2>King of Fighters XV delayed &#8211; New release date?<\/h2>\n<p>In the early hours of the morning on 2nd June 2021, the bad news was released which has turned all fans of the saga upside down, as it was announced The King of Fighters XV will not arrive this year as planned, but now it will be released during the first quarter of 2022.<\/p>\n<div style=\"left: 0px; width: 100%; height: 0px; position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; max-width: 650px;\" data-ephox-embed-iri=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3GNl5j58hpo\"><iframe style=\"border: 0; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3GNl5j58hpo?rel=0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" srcdoc=\"&lt;style&gt;*{padding:0;margin:0;overflow:hidden}html,body{height:100%}img,span{position:absolute;width:100%;top:0;bottom:0;margin:auto}span{height:1.5em;text-align:center;font:48px\/1.5 sans-serif;color:white;text-shadow:0 0 0.5em black}&lt;\/style&gt;&lt;a href=https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3GNl5j58hpo?autoplay=1&gt;&lt;img src=https:\/\/img.youtube.com\/vi\/3GNl5j58hpo\/hqdefault.jpg alt='YouTube video thumbnail'&gt;&lt;span&gt;&#9654;&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;\/a&gt;\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>At the time of writing, SNK has not revealed a new release date for King of Fighters XIV, and just gave the broad release window of Q1 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Although the game has presented a great advance, thanks to what has been shown in recent months on its official YouTube channel, it seems that the delay is due to a reason that has affected the entire industry recently: the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/YwMzc3tT-rrZHdwUOHoObehcXonbNm2agnnS27kFJY0\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9GR0MvS2luZ19vZl9GaWdodGVycy9LT0ZEZWxheWVkaW5zaWRlXzEuanBnP190PTE2MjI2MjIzODU\" alt=\"The king of fighters XV 15 delayed early 2022 new release date SNK covid-19 japan\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" loading=\"lazy\"><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(Picture: SNK)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snk-corp.co.jp\/us\/press\/2021\/060201\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">a statement<\/a> by the game&#8217;s producer, Yasuyuki Oda, this decision was made due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in Japan, a situation that has once again altered the development and launch plans not only in SNK but in many video game companies within the Asian country.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There are many fans who are anticipating the release of KOF XV in 2021, however [&#8230;] we have made the ultimate decision in the end that the product&#8217;s quality must come first, and so with that decision comes an altered release window.
