If you like the sound of clashing swords, and the sight of countless flaming arrows across the sky, then you probably can’t wait to play Chivalry 2.

The iconic medieval battle simulator is getting its sequel almost 10 years since the release of the original game, promising to bring never-before-seen realism in the genre.

Developed by Torn Banner Studios and published by Tripwire Interactive, Chivalry 2 builds upon the beloved gameplay of the original, while aiming to enhance the experience with improvements and numerous new mechanics.

The “first-person slasher”, how developers call it, releases this June, and it is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.

Here’s everything you need to know before the release.

Compared to modern standards, Chivalry 2 isn’t a particularly big game, and you will only need 20 GB of available space on your drive to instal the base version of the game.

The size will be the same for both PC and consoles.

Chivalry 2 will come to PC via Epic Games Store, and it will be an EGS exclusive for a year, after which it will be released on GOG and Steam.

If you run the game on PC, there are the minimum and recommended PC requirements.

Minimum System Requirements:

Recommended System Requirements:

As we’ve seen above, the game is not really particularly big and you will be able to download it rather quickly.

Still, why wait for the game to be downloaded when it releases when you can have it ready for playing on the release day?

All you need to do is to pre-load the game, provided you’ve preordered it first.

When the preload becomes available, if you preordered Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, it will appear in your collection of PlayStation games.

For a long time, the Epic Games Store didn’t have the ability to pre-load the game, something many has criticized as a basic functionality lacking.

This problem is no more, as the Epic Games Store now allows for pre-ordered games to be pre-loaded.
