Legendary Malaysian Dota 2 veterans Chai ‘Mushi’ Yee Fung, Khoo ‘Ohaiyo’ Chong Xin, and Ng ‘YamateH’ Wei Poong reportedly will compete together in upcoming Dota<\/a> Pro Circuit events under a new team name.<\/p>\n

Joining forces, Mushi, Ohaiyo, and YamateH will team up for the upcoming season with a new team name — Brothers United.<\/p>\n

Spotted on Valve’s official registration page for the upcoming DPC events<\/a>, fans noticed the new name on Wednesday, November 20, just one week before the official start date of the qualifiers for the upcoming Dota 2 Major. The MDL Chengdu Major is currently underway, taking place at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention & Exhibition Center in China.<\/p>\n

Mushi and YamateH were previously members of the TI2\/TI3 Team Orange in 2011 and both achieved top-half finishes in 2012, though Mushi has had the most success since then and has played on a number of competitive Dota 2 teams post-departure.<\/p>\n

Most recently, Mushi played support alongside Keen Gaming’s Dota 2 roster, as well as the renowned DK squad in 2014, but has played a variety of other roles such as carry and off-laner. Mushi most recently won the Dota <\/i>Asia Championship 2018 with Mineski. YamateH, however, has been relatively absent from Dota 2 after his mid-laner success with Team Orange and hasn’t been with a contending team since 2013.<\/p>\n

Ohaiyo will likely continue playing as off-off-later for the newly formed team.<\/p>\n

For fans of the Dota 2 veterans, this is surely to be exciting news to hear and just in time for the upcoming qualifiers of the DreamLeague Season 13 and the WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020. Brothers United will likely compete in open qualifiers for the South-East Asia qualifiers, which are scheduled to start on Thursday, November 28, 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
