COD: Mobile Season 5 has arrived and it comes with a slew of new content, including three new maps<\/a>, two game modes<\/a>, and a brand new Battle Pass<\/a> full of shiny new items to unlock, including operators, camos, scorestreaks, and more.<\/p>\n

And as with every new season, there is a new meta as well, as the developers introduce a number of balance changes and new weapons to shake things up.<\/p>\n

When it comes to balancing changes,<\/a> the focus of the Season 5 update was mostly on the SMG class, with nerfs to the PP19 Bizon, QXR, and AGR 556, but one of the most powerful snipers in the game has been nerfed as well.<\/p>\n

We are, of course, talking about the Locus. The weapon received a single, but rather significant nerf: firing time is now increased while using OWC Skeleton Stock. How will this change affect the sniper meta in COD: Mobile Season 5? Let’s find out.<\/p>\n

COD: Mobile Season 5 Sniper\/Marksman Rifle tier list <\/h2>\n

There’s a total of four marksman rifles and seven sniper rifles in COD: Mobile Season 5,<\/p>\n

Season 4 added the MK2 Carbine<\/a> while Season 2 introduced the SP-R 208<\/a> sniper rifle, and this update<\/a> added only one new weapon at the start of the season, the CR-56 AMAX<\/a> assault rifle.<\/p>\n

Please note that this tier list is accurate at the launch of COD: Mobile Season 5. <\/p>\n

Description of the tiers<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We have opted for a standard five-tier system, S to D.<\/p>\n

S-Tier:<\/strong> The absolute best Snipers in COD: Mobile Season 5.<\/p>\n

A-Tier: <\/strong>With a great loadout these Sniper\/Marksman Rifles could go toe-to-toe against the S-Tier.<\/p>\n

B-Tier:<\/strong> These Sniper\/Marksman Rifles are very capable with a great loadout.<\/p>\n

C-Tier: <\/strong>This Sniper\/Marksman Rifle tier requires you to run a perfect loadout.<\/p>\n

D-Tier: <\/strong>The trash tier. You would be much better off using one of the other guns on this list.<\/p>\n

Tier lists are not an exact science. However, this list does give you a good idea of the power rankings when it comes to Sniper and Marksman Rifles at the start of COD: Mobile Season 5, based on our testing, new weapons, and balance changes.<\/p>\n
