Ever since the recent Apex Legends Genesis Collection event<\/a> update released, a CPU bug has been causing problems for players. The event was scheduled to bring a prize track, new cosmetics, as well as a new heirloom, but it seems to have included more.<\/p>\n

For now, the issue seems to be limited to PC players and it’s a bug causing higher than usual CPU utilization, which has resulted in major problems including game crashes.<\/p>\n

While game developers Respawn Entertainment are yet to comment on the issue, there are always basic fixes that are worth trying. Here’s what you should try if you’re experiencing a high CPU usage error.<\/p>\n

  • Run the game as an administrator<\/li>\n
  • Clear origins cache<\/li>\n
