Riot Games developer, Captain Gameplay, has shared new information<\/a> about the changes coming for Sona, Maven of the Strings, as she, League of Legends’ support champion, is about to receive a major rework.<\/p>\n

According to the game developers, the modifications made for Sona in the past years allowed the hero to stray away from the bottom lane, which isn’t exactly what they wanted while making the changes. Therefore, last year conversions, such as adding mana refund, were made to bring Sona back to the support role.<\/p>\n

Now Riot is revisiting the champion once again and is planning to give him a new mechanic, which is supposed to replace the mana refund aspect. In the near future, when Sona will damage an enemy with her Q – Hymn of Valor or heals an ally with W – Aria of Perseverance, she will gain a stack of Accelerando.<\/p>\n

Accelerando will grant her ability haste for her basic skills. Hitting someone with Q will grant two stacks, and W will be able to give her up to 5 stacks if it heals or blocks damage on all four friendly champions. <\/p>\n
