Please give cheers to Kanavi who will be the best Jungler in LPL. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/GoodLuck?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#GoodLuck<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VPkw4hWb4u\">pic.twitter.com\/VPkw4hWb4u<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Team Griffin LoL (@TeamGriffinLoL) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TeamGriffinLoL\/status\/1131409452077158400?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 23, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.weibo.com\/6174976862\/Iik5a1oK4?from=page_1006066174976862_profile&amp;wvr=6&amp;mod=weibotime&amp;type=comment#_rnd1575244607183\" rel=\"nofollow\">Announcing the move on Chinese social media platform Weibo<\/a>, JD Gaming announced 19-year-old Kanavi will join the team for the upcoming 2020&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/league-of-legends\">League of Legends<\/a>&nbsp;season, assuming the team&rsquo;s starting jungler role. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/esports\/story\/_\/id\/28189367\/jd-gaming-sign-former-griffin-jungler-kanavi\" rel=\"nofollow\">Kanavi says<\/a> he is &ldquo;filled with anticipation&rdquo; as he joins the team, while also expressing &ldquo;worry&rdquo; as this will be the young player&rsquo;s first overseas experience. Despite him being in new territory, Kanavi added he he &ldquo;hopes to live up to the expectation to deliver good results.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Kanavi played for Team Griffin for the majority of 2019, but was previously a part of JD Gaming&rsquo;s LPL 2019 summer split team who finished 10th in the tournament, while also racking up a third-place finish at the LPL 2019 regional finals. Kanavi became a free agent from JD Gaming following an investigation by Riot Games involving former Team Griffin director Cho Gyu-nam who allegedly pressured Kanavi into signing a contract with the team while the player was still legally a minor.<\/p>\n<p>Team Griffin has recently been in the news after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/league-of-legends\/team-griffin-parent-company-dissolves-players-contracts\">Riot Games announced an investigation into the team<\/a> over physical and verbal abuse allegations from head coach Kim &#8220;cvMax&#8221; Dae-Ho, as well as issues regarding the contracts of players.
