Platformer games are one of the oldest and longest-standing video game genres, and yet, many developers keep getting more and more creative with this classic type of game.

Glyph is set in a world of a once-mighty civilisation that now lies ruined and devastated by a mysterious mechanical monster.

Players will take the role of a small mechanical bug (scarab) and will try to fight this machine menace and save what has been left of the fallen civilisation.

Here’s everything we know about the game.

As we’ve mentioned, Glyph is a 3D platforming game with a focus on aerial manoeuvres and exploring.

You will play as mechanical beetle which can perform all kinds of special moves that you will learn along your journey.

On top of the vast range of moves, the game allows you to fine-tune your movement while in the air and change momentum at any time in order to make adjustments if needed for solving a puzzle.

“That ensures a one-of-a-kind platforming experience that has no peers today,” devs state. “You can: dive, climb, roll, twist, crash, edge, skid, glide, sneak, scale, and corkscrew your way through an adventure with movement-based puzzles you can’t get anywhere else.”

Developers promise that every level in the game has been “painstakingly designed” in order to offer unique challenges and appealing visual identity, ensuring that “there is never a dull moment in Glyph.”

The game has over 80 levels all of which have secrets for players to find and unlock.
