Back in June 2020, indie developers Merge Games and Antab Studio revealed Foreclosed, a new action-adventure title with the style of a graphic novel, that combines interactive elements with the visual aesthetics of comic books.

Now that we’re just days away from its official release, let’s take a deeper look into the world of Foreclosed and its surprising display of narrative action.

In Foreclosed, you will take on the role of Evan Kapnos and his recently foreclosed identity, as prior to the start of the game, he was stripped of his job, brain implants and access to Blockchain city, leading him to unravel a great conspiracy.

In this immersive world, you will have the chance to approach scenarios in different ways due to an extensive skill tree that unlocks abilities mixed with various mods available for your weapons.

However, one of the areas in which Foreclosed stands out the most is its visuals, having a great inclination to the works created by the famous comic book writer and novelist, Frank Miller. Everything, from the playable parts to the cinematic scenes, will be experienced within the stylistic framework of a graphic novel.

The full-screen and comic panel perspectives within the game will blend seamlessly as you move through the city, with onomatopoeias, speech bubbles, phrases and panels being used to evoke the comic book style in an authentic way.

In terms of gameplay, Foreclosed has elements that make it evoke those of Remedy Entertainment’s award-winning indie game, Control, thanks to a symbiotic weapon that can be upgraded to levitate and throw objects, in addition to other abilities.

Using this symbiotic gun, you will be able to exploit both your brain implant abilities to manipulate your environment and fight against the system, as well as discover and unlock new abilities with an RPG-like skill tree, as you try to escape the city before your identity is auctioned to the highest bidder.

While this title will be available on both current and new generation consoles, you can also find it through Steam and the Epic Games Store, so if you are interested in acquiring this version, then these are the recommended specs.

As you can see, while the game doesn’t ask for much in terms of storage, and many of the configurations are somewhat standard, the graphic requirement can complicate things a bit, however it makes sense since it’s a game that depends a lot on this to be enjoyed to the fullest.

Likewise, we must highlight its PlayStation 5 version will come with an exclusive feature, allowing to take full advantage of the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback to make the game more immersive than ever, so if you have the opportunity to try this version, don’t let it pass.

Take a look on the reveal trailer for the game, where you can discover more about its gameplay, and why not, convince yourself to enjoy it on your own.

Foreclosed: Recommended system specifications
