Considered to be one of the greatest ARPGs of all time, Diablo 2 is getting the remastered treatment with Diablo 2 Resurrected<\/a>, releasing on 23rd September 2021. Blizzard is making the game accessible to everyone<\/a>, including those who prefer the Nintendo Switch as their main gaming platform. It is also exciting to experience Diablo 2 on the go, and with cross-progression available, adventurers entering Sanctuary are in for a treat. While the PC system requirements<\/a> have already been detailed, for Nintendo Switch owners, a burning question is always how big (file size) the game is.<\/p>\n

Diablo 2 Resurrected file size on Nintendo Switch<\/h2>\n

On PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, the required space for Diablo 2 Resurrected is 30 GB. The Nintendo Switch, however, has very limited space out of the box.<\/p>\n

Nintendo Switch gamers can, of course, add an SD Card to bolster their space available on the console. It might, however, not be necessary for Diablo 2 Resurrected.<\/p>\n

Thanks to a recent update to the game’s official page<\/a> on the Nintendo eShop, we now know the Diablo 2 Resurrected file size to be 6.5 GB.<\/p>\n

This is quite standard for AAA titles, so nothing out of the ordinary here. The Diablo III Eternal Collection is much larger, weighing in at a whopping 13.3 GB — yes, this is very large for a title on the Switch.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, the only platform where you can’t pre-order Diablo 2 Resurrected yet is the Nintendo Switch. Fans can only add the game to their Wish List right now. <\/p>\n

With the beta for those who pre-ordered expected to begin on 17th August 2021, the hope is that Nintendo Switch players will be able to pre-order Diablo 2 Resurrected very soon. We expect the file size for the beta to be much smaller than that of the full game but no official information about this topic is available.<\/p>\n

Diablo 2 Resurrected is scheduled to release on 23rd September 2021, so you have more than enough time to clear some space on your Switch, or get an SD Card to increase its capacity if you need to.<\/p>\n
