From Tuesday 10 December, developer Mojang announced a new update will roll out for PS4 Minecraft players to upgrade to the united Bedrock version.

The free update will install automatically and will activate crossplay across Xbox One, Windows 10, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android mobile devices, Gear VR and now PlayStation 4 – meaning they’ll now be able to play in the same world.

Any purchases and progress for Minecraft PS4 players will carry over across platforms. They’ll also have access to the Minecraft Marketplace, where they can buy worlds, skins, mini-games and mash up packs.
