Diablo 2 Resurrected<\/a> is finally here, a lot of problems are becoming more apparent.<\/p>\n

Asides from server issues<\/a> and some other technical hindrances, players are also experiencing more severe problems, like the constant crashing<\/a> of the game.<\/p>\n

But, by far the most prevailing problem with the game is in regard to Diablo 2 Resurrected’s performance, or the lack thereof.<\/p>\n

The game is performing rather poorly even on the high-end PCs, and players have been reporting both bad performance and physical issues with their hardware, like too much power draw or overheating.<\/p>\n

But can we improve Diablo 2 Resurrected performance or is the game inherently badly optimized?<\/p>\n

First thing first, you should know that Diablo 2 Resurrected is not the same game as the old Diablo 2 from 2000, despite using the same code and all the base systems.<\/p>\n

The game has been drastically modified both visually and under the hood, and the fact that you need 26GB of space to install the game probably tells you more than enough in that regard. For comparison, the original Diablo II (plus the Lord Of Destruction expansion) was less than 2GB big in total.<\/p>\n

That means that the first thing you need to check is if your system can handle the game and its minimum and recommended PC system requirements<\/a>, and you will need to temper your expectations based on the system requirements.<\/p>\n

With that being said, as we’ve mentioned above, even some gamers with the RTX 30XX GPUs and all the latest components are reporting serious problems with the performance, so it is not always just about what rig you have.<\/p>\n
