The company officially unveiled their new console<\/a> during The Game Awards 2019 last week, alongside the announcement of exclusive title Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2.  <\/p>\n

The title they showcased was Xbox Series X, although Microsoft has since clarified the console itself is actually called ‘Xbox’ – with the ‘Series X’ aspect referring to future iterations.  <\/p>\n

Speaking to Business Insider<\/a>, a Microsoft representative said: “The name we’re carrying forward to the next generation is simply Xbox. And at The Game Awards you saw that name come to life through the Xbox Series X.” <\/p>\n
