{"id":21535,"date":"2021-09-03T17:34:33","date_gmt":"2021-09-03T17:34:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/valorant-champions-to-be-held-in-berlin-this-december"},"modified":"2024-07-19T09:48:36","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T09:48:36","slug":"valorant-champions-to-be-held-in-berlin-this-december","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/valorant\/valorant-champions-to-be-held-in-berlin-this-december","title":{"rendered":"Valorant Champions to be held in Berlin this December"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NA fans are in shambles after Riot announced that Berlin will play host to Valorant Champions, the FPS&#8217; biggest tournament that will close out the year, scheduled to happen from 1-12th December.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Riot Games <a href=\"https:\/\/playvalorant.com\/en-us\/news\/esports\/valorant-champions-returns-to-berlin\/?linkId=100000065336643\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">issued a statement<\/a> via the official Valorant website, explaining that they were forced to re-evaluate their plans amid a resurgence in COVID-19 due to the Delta variant, most likely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upcomer.com\/valorant-champions-to-take-place-in-los-angeles-this-december\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">referring to reports<\/a> that suggested Los Angeles as the designated location for Valorant Champions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;European travel policies are the most favorable for bringing players from the participating VCT regions and present us with the best pathway to produce a Champions where all qualified teams can attend. (Picture: Riot Games)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Despite European travel restrictions being less confining, the upcoming Masters even, which is also scheduled to be played in Berlin, was forced to pivot formats as Southeast Asia reps <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/valorant\/valorant-bren-esports-will-not-play-in-vct-masters-berlin-after-visa-rejection\">Bren Esports couldn&#8217;t get their visas approved<\/a> in time, dropping out of the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>So far, only two teams have qualified for Valorant Champions, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/valorant\/sentinels-set-to-defend-valorant-masters-title-100-thieves-locks-in-ticket-to-berlin\">North America&#8217;s Sentinels<\/a>, who have been dominating the scene throughout 2021, and KR&Uuml; Esports, the best squad hailing from Latin America.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/FjV8-aLhCcuyXg6BK5m5QD94AjhccemwrfnTRiKCBk4\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9WYWxvcmFudC9zZW50aW5lbHNfd2lubmVyLmpwZw\" alt=\"sentinels valorant\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Sentinels are the undisputed kings of Valorant.
