There&nbsp;will&nbsp;be&nbsp;several&nbsp;nerfs and buffs to characters&nbsp;to help players feel more comfortable in certain matchups,&nbsp;along with knowing the advantages and disadvantages. Here are some of the changes that caught my attention.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{b0b5264e-9228-4311-aa8b-61f56938eaea}{138}\" paraid=\"1127946606\"><strong>Ryu&rsquo;s<\/strong>&nbsp;medium and heavy&nbsp;Tatsumaki first hit hitbox is expanded, which means Ryu players should be excited from a combo standpoint. Ryu&nbsp;will also be able to&nbsp;Anti-Air Shoryuken into Critical Art like in the Street Fighter IV days.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{78807518-b02e-473d-9e56-72ada05d0d1b}{38}\" paraid=\"152665262\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">This is an excellent change because in previous seasons&nbsp;of Street Fighter V, there was no&nbsp;true execution on how to use Ryu Critical Art for Anti-Air perspective. Will this be enough improvements for&nbsp;Diago&nbsp;The Beast to main Ryu again,&nbsp;or&nbsp;maybe for casuals?&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{b0b5264e-9228-4311-aa8b-61f56938eaea}{154}\" paraid=\"1948306762\"><strong>Chun Li<\/strong>&nbsp;pretty much got more damage added to almost&nbsp;all her attacks. Hyakuretsukyaku,&nbsp;better known as Lightning Legs,&nbsp;now can be linked into Critical Art or other cancels further along into the motion instead of after just the first or second kick.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{78807518-b02e-473d-9e56-72ada05d0d1b}{240}\" paraid=\"1270416036\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">I have not seen many main Chun Li in competitive play;&nbsp;she&nbsp;seems to be used more of a counter pick against certain characters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{b0b5264e-9228-4311-aa8b-61f56938eaea}{170}\" paraid=\"1544580141\"><strong>Ken&#8217;s<\/strong>&nbsp;crouching medium punch has reduced pushback on hit, so players can now link crouching medium punch to&nbsp;hadouken&nbsp;for 2 hits.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{91659ee0-8ce9-43ba-81b0-43b7174dd2b4}{7}\" paraid=\"1942121949\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Ken can&nbsp;also&nbsp;perform crouching LK into cancel V Trigger Activate and link into a combo. Finally Ken can V Trigger Shinryuken into Critical Art at Level 1 or Level 2 which is a huge plus for Ken mains.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{91659ee0-8ce9-43ba-81b0-43b7174dd2b4}{7}\" paraid=\"1942121949\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Street Fighter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/13psFQqzsuzTGVWuZdjjjVz9hSX93s-iUY6yQiRvhqY\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL3J5dV9zdHJlZXRfZmlnaHRlci5qcGc\" style=\"width: 600px; height: 338px;\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size:11px;\">There&#8217;s a number of changes in the new update (Picture: Capcom)&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{b0b5264e-9228-4311-aa8b-61f56938eaea}{184}\" paraid=\"1353854875\"><strong>Necalli&#8217;s<\/strong>&nbsp;standing HP Crush Counter is changed to a crumple Knockdown giving Necalli the capability to execute a combo afterwards.&nbsp;In prior seasons,&nbsp;Necalli was very limited after this Crush Counter.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{91659ee0-8ce9-43ba-81b0-43b7174dd2b4}{51}\" paraid=\"914337731\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Disc&#8217;s Guidance pushback has been reduced after the second hit, meaning Necalli could potentially have a hard knockdown set up afterwards depending on where the opponent is on the screen. Valiant Rebellion now has a +2 advantage on block which is excellent. I would not be surprised if Necalli mains like Phenom take advantage of this buff.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{b0b5264e-9228-4311-aa8b-61f56938eaea}{192}\" paraid=\"417449759\"><strong>Laura<\/strong>&nbsp;can execute a&nbsp;Thunder Clap&nbsp;in the air. Yes, you read that right.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{91659ee0-8ce9-43ba-81b0-43b7174dd2b4}{75}\" paraid=\"1529885758\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">If opponents thought her&nbsp;Thunder Clap&nbsp;setups were annoying in the previous seasons,&nbsp;I&nbsp;can only imagine the chaos for this season. Merry Christmas&nbsp;Idom.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{8719680a-ff0a-4fa1-abb0-ca2668e73bf8}{4}\" paraid=\"1123340327\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">I predict&nbsp;rage&nbsp;quitting percentage will increase by 100%. Laura&rsquo;s&nbsp;Sunset&nbsp;Wheel recovery is reduced by 1 Frame on hit.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{b0b5264e-9228-4311-aa8b-61f56938eaea}{214}\" paraid=\"864836482\"><strong>Rashid&#8217;s<\/strong>&nbsp;medium Spinning Mixer forward movement distance is now reduced,&nbsp;which is a serious nerf because Rashid players could use Spinning Mixer to corner carry their opponents with ease.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{8719680a-ff0a-4fa1-abb0-ca2668e73bf8}{56}\" paraid=\"1580417804\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Apparently&nbsp;Rashid&rsquo;s&nbsp;Crouching&nbsp;Fierce slipped under the radar and did not get nerfed like many other characters because they added 4 frames of recovery on whiff and expanded the hit box.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{b0b5264e-9228-4311-aa8b-61f56938eaea}{224}\" paraid=\"1001386929\"><strong>Karin&#8217;s<\/strong>&nbsp;standing MP increased pushback distance on block which is a decent nerf. Karin&rsquo;s&nbsp;ability to stun their opponent as easily&nbsp;has been nerfed.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{8719680a-ff0a-4fa1-abb0-ca2668e73bf8}{109}\" paraid=\"1319758651\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Karin mains like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/street-fighter-5\/street-fighter-v-pro-punk-winning-evo-2020-is-the-biggest-goal-for-me\">Punk<\/a>, I feel like they lucked out in this season.
