{"id":22194,"date":"2021-09-20T22:27:07","date_gmt":"2021-09-20T22:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/how-to-watch-the-international-10-all-qualified-teams-format-venues-prize-pool-and-more"},"modified":"2024-07-19T16:07:45","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T16:07:45","slug":"how-to-watch-the-international-10-all-qualified-teams-format-venues-prize-pool-and-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dota-2\/how-to-watch-the-international-10-all-qualified-teams-format-venues-prize-pool-and-more","title":{"rendered":"How to watch The International 10: All qualified teams, format, venues, prize pool, and more"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The eyes of the whole world will be on Romania in the next few weeks where after more than two years of waiting the best <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dota-2\">Dota 2<\/a> teams will meet to define a new world champion.<\/p>\n<p>The International 10, the most important summit in the competitive calendar of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) is just around the corner, so here we bring you a complete guide with everything you need to know for this world championship.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The International 10: All qualified teams and seedings<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Following a similar format to the 2019 edition, The International 10 will bring us <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dota-2\/the-international-10-twelve-dota-2-teams-have-qualified\">the 12 teams with the most points in the DPC<\/a>, after two splits where we witness the rise of Invictus Gaming in the Singapore Major, and the victory of PSG.LGD in the Animajor on Kyiv, Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>These will be joined by six qualified teams from the Regional Qualifiers, where the top 12 teams in each DPC region that weren&#8217;t qualified to TI 10 competed in monumental brackets for a championship ticket.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, these are the 18 teams classified to TI 10:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>China<\/strong>: Elephant, Invictus Gaming, PSG.LGD, Team Aster, and Vici Gaming<\/li>\n<li><strong>North America<\/strong>: Evil Geniuses, Quincy Crew, and Undying<\/li>\n<li><strong>South America<\/strong>: beastcoast, SG e-sports, and Thunder Predator<\/li>\n<li><strong>Western Europe<\/strong>: Alliance, OG, and Team Secret<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eastern Europe<\/strong>: Team Spirit, and Virtus.pro<\/li>\n<li><strong>Southeast Asia<\/strong>: Fnatic, and T1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/KZBIrMYIetJ1RYcWhfkM7FoNHiPzVzNxPfgiNkHSY9s\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9kb3RhXzIvVElfMTAvVEkxMF9pbnNpZGVfMS5qcGc\" alt=\"The International 10 trophy\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">The International winners&#8217; trophy, the Aegis of Champions. (Picture: Valve)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><strong>The International 10: Format explainer and venue<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Although the format of the tournament hasn&rsquo;t been revealed at the moment of writing, it&rsquo;s expected to use the same one introduced during 2019, divided between two main stages of competition.<\/p>\n<p>We must highlight that after a series of troubles <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dota-2\/ti10-unlikely-to-be-held-in-sweden-as-dota-2-isn-t-recognize-as-sports\">between the Swedish government and the tournament&rsquo;s organization<\/a>, the event was ultimately moved to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dota-2\/the-international-10-s-new-location-and-dates-revealed\">Arena Na&#355;ional&#259;, in Bucharest, Romania<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Group Stage<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For the group stage, all 18 qualified teams will be randomly drawn into two groups of nine squads each.<\/p>\n<p>Here, all squads will battle against each other in a single round-robin format, with the top four teams from each of the groups moving on to the main event&rsquo;s upper bracket.<\/p>\n<p>The fifth- to eighth-placed teams will continue in the lower bracket, and the two remaining teams will be out of the tournament.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/uzcAWB5vqLGt7KfRZ6cOBFWwgK9YPU6FC9hGme1u_IE\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9kb3RhXzIvVElfMTAvVEkxMF9pbnNpZGVfMi5KUEc\" alt=\"The International 10 venue\" width=\"768\" height=\"431\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">The Arena Na&#355;ional&#259; was chosen as the venue for The International 10, after issues with the Swedish government. (Picture: Valve)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3><strong>Main Event<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As said earlier, the main event for TI 10 features a massive bracket with all 16 teams who advance, with a double-elimination format.<\/p>\n<p>In the upper bracket, the top seeds from both groups must choose a team between the third- and fourth-placed teams from opposing groups. The second seed will face the remaining opposing team. All matches in this bracket will be best-of-three.<\/p>\n<p>The lower bracket will have the same style as the upper one, but with the fifth-placed teams choosing between the seventh- and eighth-placed teams, and the sixth seed facing the remaining team. (Picture: Valve)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><strong>The International 10: Prize Pool and how to watch<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As its tradition with The International, the prize pool for the tournament will break its record again, being the biggest in the history of esports with &#36;40,018,195.<\/p>\n<p>This prize pool is composed of &#36;1.6 million funded by Valve, and &#36;38,418,195 coming from all Battle Pass sales by players.
