An article by The Washington Post<\/a> revealed that YouTube star, Instagram influencer and musical artist, Alissa Marie Violet Butler (otherwise known as  Alissa Violet) has sued FaZe Clan<\/a> for allegedly defrauding her of approximately $300 million worth of shares in the company. According to the internet star, FaZe Clan entered into an “oral agreement” with her but failed to hold up their end of the bargain.<\/p>\n

This latest claim reportedly stemmed from a series of prior lawsuits involving the aforementioned parties. According to a prior complaint lodged in 2018, Alissa entered into an agreement with FaZe Clan to transfer shares in a social media entertainment company she co-founded (called Clout Gang) for shares in Hubrick Limited; a company that FaZe Clan had partnered with.<\/p>\n

The relationship between FaZe Clan and Hubrick limited would later deteriorate into a back-and-forth legal dispute, involving Alissa, FaZe Clan and Clout Gang, who reached claimed fraud against Hubrick Limited (who would later countersue for fraud as well).<\/p>\n

According to the most recent lawsuit against FaZe Clan, Alissa claims that she entered into an “oral agreement” with FaZe Clan to “settle the lawsuits” with Hubrick Limited, in an effort to refuse the legal tension. In return, she would drop her claims against the company and relinquish her Hubrick shares, in exchange for FaZe Clan stock.<\/p>\n

Based on Alissa’s claim, FaZe did not hold up their part of the deal and she did not receive the promise shares (allegedly worth $300 million) in FaZe Clan.<\/p>\n

Alissa’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, provided a statement to The Washington Post per telephone, saying: “Faze Clan is being sued because it specifically promised to compensate Alissa when it asked her to relinquish her Hubrick stock and asked her to dismiss her claims against Hubrick and others. If Faze Clan simply abided by its promise to compensate her, Alissa would not have had to sue Faze Clan.”<\/p>\n

In response to the lawsuit, FaZe Clans denied “generally and specifically” all allegations that were made by Alissa. The CEO of FaZe Clan, Lee Trink, also indicated that they were confident things would be resolved amicably.<\/p>\n

In an email statement provided to The Washinton Post, Trink said: “Stories get created out of any disagreement or dispute, big or small. … On this particular matter we’re in close communication and confident it’ll be resolved amicably.” It was reported that the complaint “does not specify a dollar amount for damages” but based on Trink’s response, it seems that FaZe are confident they can resolve the complaint without any drama.<\/p>\n
