Genshin Impact is celebrating its first anniversary<\/a> since launching worldwide, however, the game’s festivities have come under fire as players from all around the world are criticizing its developers, miHoYo, after the disappointing set of events and rewards<\/a> they announced to celebrate Genshin’s birthday.<\/p>\n

While most players have voiced their complaints on social media in the last few days, frustration and outrage continue to grow especially as miHoYo has maintained silence around the matter, reportedly deleting or censoring most complaints<\/a> within the game and on Genshin’s official Reddit.<\/p>\n

Now, as a response to censoring treatment from miHoYo, players have begun a massive review bombing on Genshin’s Google Play page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As of this writing, Genshin Impact’s Play Store rating is now sitting at an unbelievable 1.9 out of 5, a steep decline from the game’s original 4.6 score before today’s backlash movement.<\/p>\n

As expected, most of the 1-star reviews are linked to miHoYo’s poor anniversary response, while others are mostly focused on aspects such as the game’s performance, and some more just have no comments at all aside from the grade.<\/p>\n

The way things are looking, the score will continue to nosedive even more, with the only hope in stopping it being Google’s review policy which forbids inaccurate, repeat, and otherwise misleading reviews.<\/p>\n

Players have also turned their attention to the game’s official Discord servers, where they have been spamming all chats with fallen Qiqi stickers, forcing the servers’ mod to put a server-wide cooldown of up to thirty minutes per message.<\/p>\n
