This update comes after the game was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/new-world\/new-world-is-review-bombed-after-long-queue-times\">bombarded with negative reviews<\/a> as a result of players waiting in long queues to enter the game.<\/p>\n<h2>New World MMO developers share update on launch and world queues<\/h2>\n<p>The update was announced on 1st October via the official <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/playnewworld\/status\/1443757054376570906\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">New World Twitter account<\/a>. This translated to longer queue times across the board but particularly on more populated servers.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/new-world\/is-new-world-coming-to-consoles\">Is New World coming to consoles?<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Addressing the server queue crisis, Amazon Games said: &#8220;Since our launch on Tuesday, we have more than doubled the number of servers and we are working to increase the capacity of all available servers to support a higher population [capacity].&#8221; At launch, servers were restricted to only 2000 players and there were only a limited number of servers across the five server regions.<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, Amazon notes that 40% of their live servers currently have &#8220;low or no wait times&#8221; and encouraged first-time adventurers to &#8220;seek those servers out and get playing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Amazon announces character server transfer feature for New World MMO<\/h2>\n<p>The developers continued to explain that they would be launching a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/new-world\/new-world-to-offer-free-server-migration-after-troublesome-launch\">new free server migration<\/a> feature &#8220;that will allow [players] to transfer [their] characters to a different server.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/9v6o-ZbsH-mCdLPnPTVbUZC3AUaF03kNybusF6PXbtI\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9OZXdXb3JsZC9zZXJ2ZXJfbWFpbnRlbmFuY2UvaW1hZ2UxLnBuZw\" alt=\"New World MMO to receive character server transfer feature next week\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">New World MMO to receive character server transfer feature next week.
