Changes are coming to the League Of Legends<\/a> Championship Series (LCS), with Riot Games detailing the slew of alterations in a blog post.  <\/p>\n

Among the new additions is a schedule which will encompass Saturday, Sundays and now Mondays – with the latter titled Monday Night League and seeing two matches take place from 5.30 PT (1.30pm GMT).  <\/p>\n

Fridays will play host to Academy League games along with matches across the weekend. Ahead of the new Monday Night League, there will also be Academy League games beforehand. <\/p>\n

The key change is perhaps the new LCS playoff format, which will work differently between the Spring and Summer Splits.  <\/p>\n

In the Spring Split, the top six teams will face off in a best-of-five tournament with a winners and losers bracket – similar to the LEC format.<\/p>\n

The Summer Split, however, is slightly different as determines the top three teams who will head to Worlds 2020. This means there won’t be circuit points or the previous Regional Qualifier. <\/p>\n

The LCS Spring Split kicks off on Saturday 25 January, while the Summer Split begins on Saturday 20 June.  <\/p>\n
