The Battlefield 2042 beta was intended to go live last month; however, when developer DICE opted to push back the game’s release date<\/a> by a month, so were the proposed plans for the open beta. Players won’t have to wait too long as the open beta is scheduled for later this week.<\/p>\n

Those who have jumped the queue through pre-orders will jump into action two days early as DICE has detailed what players can look forward to in both tests. The Battlefield 2042 early access period will commence on 6th October at 7 am UTC \/ 8 am BST which will run for 24 hours ending on 7th October for those who pre-ordered the game or current EA Play subscribers.<\/p>\n

Likewise, the game’s open beta will also start on 8 October at 7 am UTC \/ 8 am BST which will also run for 24 hours, ending on 9 October.<\/p>\n

The preload will start on 5 October at 7 am UTC \/ 8 am BST, with the beta coming to an end on 10 October at 7 am UTC \/ 8 am BST.<\/p>\n

Battlefield 2042 beta: Available content<\/h2>\n

The Battlefield 2024 will feature an “All-Out Warfare” in the Conquest mode available supporting battles of up to 128 players competing in teams of two 64 squads on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. However, the team size will be reduced by half for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, supporting two teams of 32 players a side, meaning the beta will not support cross-gen play.<\/p>\n
