Despite being fictional and fantasy-themed, New World is closely inspired by the age of discovery, a historical era in the 16th century when Europeans first started exploring and settling on the American continent.<\/p>\n

And one of the iconic weapons of this era is a musket, a famous muzzle-loaded long gun that allowed the Conquistadors to almost effortlessly seize vast territories of the new world.<\/p>\n

And of course, muskets are present in New World as well. Muskets are the strongest long-ranged weapons in-game, which primarily scale with dexterity but are also influenced by a player’s intelligence stat.<\/p>\n

If you want to play a musket build, one of the first things you will need to have is Gunpowder and here’s how you can make it.<\/p>\n

In New World, you will need Gunpowder in order to make Iron Cartridges, a tier II recipe that is essentially ammunition for all firearms ( muskets).<\/p>\n

You can’t use your musket if you don’t have ammo, and you can’t have ammo if you don’t make it (or buy it), and in order to make it, you will first need to craft gunpowder (the other two ingredients you will need are linen<\/a> and iron<\/a>).<\/p>\n

You will find a gunpowder recipe in Workshop under “Crafting components” and then in the “Engineering components” category.<\/p>\n
