{"id":23275,"date":"2021-10-15T22:06:01","date_gmt":"2021-10-15T22:06:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/switch-online-expansion-pack-gets-bombed-after-shocking-price-and-content-reveal"},"modified":"2024-07-19T10:58:14","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T10:58:14","slug":"switch-online-expansion-pack-gets-bombed-after-shocking-price-and-content-reveal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/switch-online-expansion-pack-gets-bombed-after-shocking-price-and-content-reveal","title":{"rendered":"Switch Online Expansion Pack gets bombed, after shocking price and content reveal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest Animal Crossing direct was a rollercoaster for Nintendo fans, as the Japanese developer revealed everything about the last major update for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/animal-crossing\">New Horizons<\/a>, releasing worldwide this 5th November.<\/p>\n<p>On top of this update <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/animal-crossing\/animal-crossing-new-horizons-2-0-update-release-date-new-features-locations-activities-furniture-and-more\">full of content, features, locations and more<\/a>, Nintendo announced the final pricing and release date for the new Expansion Pack for their Switch Online subscription.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Switch Online&rsquo;s Expansion Pass price rises concerns<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In case you missed the first reveal, Nintendo&rsquo;s official online service is set to receive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/n64-and-sega-genesis-games-coming-to-nintendo-switch-new-online-membership-revealed\">a new membership plan<\/a>, allowing players to play Nintendo 64 plus Sega Genesis games in the Nintendo Switch for the first time, answering the prays of many players around the world.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/3INgfX9Fytl_KFOkmO8SXix0VqqeKZ58h-XoOnbrCOs\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9OaW50ZW5kby9OU082NF9pbnNpZGVfMi5qcGc\" alt=\"Switch Online Nintendo 64 catalogue\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Switch Online&#8217;s Nintendo 64 catalogue includes classics like Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Mario Kart 64. (Picture: Nintendo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This DLC is set to include many tools for all those hardcore and creative fans, as it will unlock access to a new area called the &ldquo;Paradise Archipelago,&rdquo; a place where players will be able to design dream vacation homes and even places like schools, a restaurants, cafeterias, and more.<\/p>\n<p>A weird thing about this DLC is that it will be available as an extra benefit of the Expansion Pack, however, if a player doesn&rsquo;t have the game purchased or if playing Animal Crossing is not something they&#8217;re interested in, it will be a waste of money more than a &#8220;benefit&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This opinion has been shared by many players and followers of the Big N, who through the comments of the video reveal on YouTube have shown their total discontent, adding that its current like counter has more than 12 thousand dislikes, being more than a half of the reactions to the video.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/XoRgdIkmByuGoqWRCPIe6XaPGci7asjPfy17Db0dEIM\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9OaW50ZW5kby9OU09FeHBhbnNpb25faW5zaWRlXzIuanBn\" alt=\"Switch Online feedback\" width=\"871\" height=\"587\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Players and Nintendo fans have shown their negative feedback against the Expansion Pack through social media.
