It’s been an exciting time on the Fortnite island as Chapter 2 Season 8 brought with it loads of game refreshes. The latest campaign features the rise of the Cube Queen<\/a>, who appears set on conquering the battle royale map.<\/p>\n

In addition to map changes<\/a>, there have also been weapons updates<\/a> as well as new NPCs<\/a> introduced. But as is the nature of gamers, many are already peeking ahead as to what the next phase of Fortnite may have in store.<\/p>\n

When does Chapter 2 Season 9 of Fortnite start?<\/h2>\n

As of writing, Epic Games has yet to confirm the official start date of Chapter 2 Season 9. However, the game devs have provided us with the end date of Chapter 2 Season 8, which serves to the same effect.<\/p>\n

Chapter 2 Season 9 of Fortnite should start on Monday, 6th December 2021 following the conclusion of Season 8 on 5th December. The beginning of the workweek should serve as a natural break-point for a Monday patch update<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fortnite Winterfest – Chapter 2 Season 9<\/h2>\n

Leaks from respected Fortnite sources suggest the return of an ultra-popular promotion may be imminent. Popular leaker ShiinaBR recently posted a tweet containing some exciting information from a pulled Fortnite file.<\/p>\n

Winterfest was an awesome holiday-themed event from previous years of Fortnite, and the Presents are simply free gifts for all Fortnite players, always a hit.<\/p>\n

Chapter 2 Season 9 Battle Pass<\/h2>\n

Epic Games have not yet announced anything regarding the upcoming battle pass for Chapter 2 Season 9. With weeks left on the Season 8 pass and the recent release of the Shortnitemares film festival<\/a>, game devs will likely wait for a less hectic time to drop the news.<\/p>\n

Though if Season 9 follows a winter and or holiday theme, the battle pass will likely feature content reflective of that. It will certainly be interesting to see how game developers chose to progress the storyline.<\/p>\n
