There is no doubt that within the North American Valorant scene, one of its most significant figures has been Braxton “Brax” Pierce, a player who managed to stand out for being part of the renowned Korean organization “T1” twice, featuring in the main roster.

However, after a series of unfavourable results in his career, everything indicates that Brax’s competitive journey will be cut short, following his sudden decision to retire from Valorant esports revealed on 21st October.

Through a Twitlonger shared in his Twitter account, Brax has shown his interest in returning to his career as a full-time streamer, but not before thanking T1 for the opportunities the team provided him during this last year.

“As much as I love competing, I am super excited to get back on the stream grind and be with my awesome community again. For those asking where I’ve been I’ve deemed it super necessary to take a step back and focus on my personal life and essentially finding my happiness again after a crazy year of ups and downs both in and out of game,” said Brax on his statement.

Despite this transition from competitive player to streamer, Brax will remain part of the squad as a content creator, joining a long line of high-profile influencers such as Tyler1, and two-time League of Legends world champion, Wolf.

“Thank you for the continued support on this journey and I’m excited to take this to the next level and see where it goes because I know the opportunities are endless!!,” concluded Brax.

During his time in T1, Brax had the opportunity to represent the team in multiple high-calibre regional tournaments within the Valorant Champions Tour. However, in terms of achievements, his results couldn’t match his time at compLexity Gaming and iBUYPOWER when he focused on CS:GO before his permanent ban.
