Six = +60 mana

The five champions below are the initial Ocean options with their cost, second class and stats for their ultimates listed:

Vladimir

Ocean / Mage

Cost: 1 Gold

Ultimate: Drain – Vladimir deals 200/325/450 magic damage to the target and heals for the same amount.

Syndra

Ocean / Mage

Cost: 2 Gold

Ultimate: Hydro Sphere – Syndra conjures a sphere of water which explodes near a random enemy, dealing 175/350/600 magic damage to all enemies hit.

Thresh

Ocean / Warden

Cost: 2 Gold

Ultimate: Deep Sea Lantern – Thresh throws his lantern to the lowest-health ally, shielding them and nearby allies against 250/400/600 damage for five seconds.

Nautilus

Ocean / Warden

Cost: 3 Gold

Ultimate: Depth Charge – Nautilus sends out a depth charge that seeks out his farthest enemy, knocking them up and stunning them for three/four/six seconds. It also deals 100/200/400 magic damage to all enemies it passes through.

Nami

Ocean / Mystic

Cost: 5 Gold

Ultimate: Tidal Wave – Nami summons a massive tidal wave which deals 150/250/350 magic damage to all enemies hit, knocking up and stunning them for one and a half/two/two and a half seconds. Allies hit are empowered, and their Basic Attacks deal an additional 25/50/300 magic damage for the next eight seconds.

It is also possible for Qiyana to be Ocean, depending on the element randomly selected at the start of a game. Water in the middle of the first carousel and a water-based hex for each player will indicate this.

Qiyana

Ocean / Assassin

Cost: 3 Gold

Ultimate: Elemental Blade – Qiyana blasts a short line in front of her, stunning enemies for three/three and a half/four seconds and dealing 300/500/900 magic damage.

Build Guide

Most players will only find four Ocean champions for the majority of their matches due to the one-in-four chance for Qiyana to be Ocean and the rarity and RNG in acquiring Lux for the full six champion bonus.

Like Light, Ocean has a good mix of classes that allow for a team to be well-balanced between Mages and Wardens.

With the Ocean buff providing mana, champions that can do damage are perfect to pair with this element’s bonus. Considering Vladimir and Syndra are both Mages, a third Mage is an easy addition to get the double-cast bonus from that class.

If you reach level seven and get lucky with the tiny two percent chance of a five-cost unit, you can use Amumu or Taric as a bonus Warden until you find Nami.

Ocean and its champions look set to be unaffected by Patch 10.2 but there are other changes coming to classes, champions and items that could shift the balance for this element.

Teamfight Tactics‘ second set of champions came with the Rise of the Elements update that also changed League of Legends’ iconic Summoner’s Rift map.
