An era within the North American League of Legends scene has ended, following the announcement of Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg’s departure from the six-time LCS champion organization, TSM.<\/p>\n

This surprise announcement was revealed through a video posted on the team’s social media<\/a> on 28th October, where both TSM’s founder Andy “Reginald” Dinh and Parth Naidu, one of its League’s managers, thanked the long career of the Danish player since his arrival back in 2013.<\/p>\n

“When Bjergsen expressed he wanted to return to play, we were fully supportive and we even give him permission to speak to every team as early as 1st September,” explained Parth Naidu while also confirming Bjergsen’s return as an active player for 2022 season.<\/p>\n

According to their statement and after the results of the team on the LCS Championship 2021, the team started making negotiations with him to rebuild their League roster, focusing on creating a competitive team around him while offering a “highly competitive offer” on 1st October.<\/p>\n

However, the player ultimately rejected this chance to come back to the Rift as TSM’s franchise player, ending his long 8-year tenure with them and setting a new path for another LCS franchise, now as a free agent.<\/p>\n

“From my personal perspective, I’ve always been impressed with Søren’s drive and individual talent. I’m genuinely wishing him the best of luck, we’ve close friends, co-workers, so I’m really for Søren, for TSM, and how this plays out,” added Reginald.<\/p>\n

After this announcement, Bjergsen took some time to post a tweet thanking the organization for all these years, looking forward to his future in League’s competitive.<\/p>\n

As of the moment of writing, sources from Upcomer<\/a> are pointing at a potential signing by Team Liquid as their new mid laner, while also testing Jensen role swap to bottom lane, eyeing a move that would bring together a powerful team for the LCS’ next season.<\/p>\n

With this, Bjergsen’s time in the legendary NA squad has come to an end, after a journey that led him to play countless LCS finals, conquering six championships and an Intel Extreme Masters title, and participating in five League of Legends World Championships.<\/p>\n
