(Picture: Activision-Blizzard)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The news comes as little surprise if you&#8217;ve been following the turmoil the company has been under, with key figureheads leaving both projects and the company under intense scrutiny after multiple lawsuits that have resulted in Activision-Blizzard paying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/activision-blizzard-to-pay-18-million-settlement-over-discrimination-lawsuit\">&#36;18 million as part of a settlement over discrimination claims.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>News broke back in February that fans of Overwatch and Diablo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/overwatch\/overwatch-2-and-diablo-iv-will-not-release-in-2021\">should not hold their breaths for a potential release in 2021<\/a>, with many wondering if next year would finally be the year when both projects would be unveiled fully to the public.<\/p>\n<p>While Diablo enthusiasts have received little to no info since then, Overwatch loyalists got a glimmer of hope after it was announced that OWL 2022, scheduled to start this April, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/overwatch\/owl-2022-scheduled-for-april-start-to-be-played-in-early-overwatch-2-build\">would be played using an early build of the sequel<\/a>, fueling speculation that at least the multiplayer portion of the game would be done at some point before 2023.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/cse4fySyhdWL9G0DzGEVXEKO9fa5PcU9PJ1x2wiDP64\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9PdmVyd2F0Y2gvc29tYnJhX293Mi5qcGc\" alt=\"diablo iv delayed\" width=\"1024\" height=\"650\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Seems like a 2023 release for OW2 and Diablo IV is in the cards.
