The BAR assault rifle (or Browning Automatic Rifle) is an American gun boasting incredible damage, accuracy and bullet velocity that is only held back by its low firing rate and small magazine size in Call of Duty: Vanguard.<\/a> While this makes the BAR perhaps less viable for aggressive, close-range engagements, it is perfect for holding angles or bursting enemies down long ranges. <\/p>\n

The BAR is listed in our A-tier list of assault rifles<\/a> alongside the Volk<\/a>. It packs considerable firepower capable of taking down enemies with just two bullets at any range. So naturally, pairing the BAR with the right attachments may unlock unprecedented power. So, with that said, here’s the best BAR gunsmith class setup at the launch of COD Vanguard<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Best BAR class setup for COD Vanguard<\/h2>\n

Interestingly, although the BAR has a slower fire rate of 365 RPM, its bullet velocity is so fast that it makes the gun hitscan. This weapon is perfect for players who want a literal “no recoil gun” because the shots land precisely on target. We expect the BAR to be a potent meta weapon at the start of COD Vanguard.<\/p>\n

This is how we’ve built our BAR assault rifle at the start of COD Vanguard (thanks, BennyCentral):<\/p>\n

  • Muzzle: <\/strong>Mercury Silencer<\/li>\n
  • Barrel: <\/strong>None<\/li>\n
  • Optic: <\/strong>(Personal Preference)<\/li>\n
  • Stock: <\/strong>Cooper SP<\/li>\n
  • Underbarrel: <\/strong>M1941 Hand Stop<\/li>\n
  • Magazine: <\/strong>.50 BMG 30 Rnd Mag<\/li>\n
  • Ammo Type: <\/strong>Lengthened<\/li>\n
  • Rear Grip: <\/strong>Fabric Grip<\/li>\n
  • Proficiency: <\/strong>Sleight of Hand<\/li>\n
  • Kit: <\/strong>Fully Loaded<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    First up, we’ve got the Mercury Silencer <\/strong>and no barrel. The reason for equipping no barrel is because the trade-offs simply are not worth it. In particular, attaching a barrel will introduce recoil that you could attenuate with other attachments; however, you’re better off improving other aspects of this already overpowered weapon.<\/p>\n

    Next, we attached the Cooper SP<\/strong> stock to improve aiming stability, flinch resistance recoil recovery, and improved initial accuracy and recoil. We also attached the Fabric Grip<\/strong> for boosts to ADS speed, sprint to fire time and hip fire recoil recovery to make aiming a bit faster.<\/p>\n

    Followingly, we’ve gone with the .50 BMG 30 Round Mag <\/strong>to boost the BAR’s magazine capacity and damage. We’ve also equipped the bullets with the Lengthened <\/strong>ammo type to buff the BAR’s insane bullet velocity further.<\/p>\n

    Lastly, we’ve gone with the Sleight of Hand <\/strong>Proficiency to boost Reload Quickness. The Fully Loaded<\/strong> Kit can be equipped for additional starting ammunition.<\/p>\n
