The Arisaka Type 99 is a bolt-action sniper rifle in Call of Duty: Vanguard<\/a>. It can be used as a substitute for the M1 Garand marksman rifle but boasts faster reload time, fire rate and ammunition capacity. The Arisaka Type 99 also demonstrates a ridiculous one-shot killing potential to the head, neck and chest. It also has the fastest ADS potential out of all the snipers combined in the game to put the cherry on top.<\/p>\n

Given this, it’s no shot that the Arisaka Type 99 is listed in our A-tier list of sniper rifles<\/a> alongside the 3-Line Rifle or “Mosin-Nagant”. The Type 99 is the ultimate quick scoping sniper but can be so much more when paired with the right attachments. So, with that said, here’s the best Type 99 gunsmith class setup at the launch of COD Vanguard<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Best Type 99 class setup for COD Vanguard<\/h2>\n

The Type 99 is straightforward to use and demonstrates a fair degree of versatility. However, some players may find this gun simply too good, especially given its ADS time of only 474 ms — which, by the way, can be made even faster.<\/p>\n

We’ve followed the attachment build guide by YouTuber BennyCentral for this Type 99 loadout:<\/p>\n

  • Muzzle: <\/strong>Mercury Silencer<\/li>\n
  • Barrel: <\/strong>Shiraishi Short<\/li>\n
  • Optic: <\/strong>G16 2.5X<\/li>\n
  • Stock: <\/strong>Sakura CVR Custom<\/li>\n
  • Underbarrel: <\/strong>Heavy Foregrip<\/li>\n
  • Magazine: <\/strong>8mm Klauser 5 Rnd Mags<\/li>\n
  • Ammo Type: <\/strong>Lengthened<\/li>\n
  • Rear Grip:<\/strong> Taped Grip<\/li>\n
  • Proficiency: <\/strong>Vital<\/li>\n
  • Kit: <\/strong>Deep Breath<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    We kicked off this build with the Mercury Silencer.<\/strong> Followingly, we’ve equipped the Shiraishi Short Barrel<\/strong> to improve mobility by buffing ADS speed and sprint to fire speed, albeit at a slight cost to bullet velocity.<\/p>\n

    Next, we’ve attached the Sakura CVR Custom<\/strong> to help improve accuracy for the initial shots when firing. This attachment will buff aim walking movement speed, initial accuracy and recoil, recoil recovery and ADS speed.<\/p>\n

    Importantly, our next attachment is Vital<\/strong> Proficiency to increase the size of the critical hit area on enemies. This means being able to bag one-shot kills even over incredible distances.<\/p>\n

    The Deep Breathe<\/strong> Kit will allow you to hold your breath for longer for steadier shots over ranges while scoping. Next, the Taped Grip<\/strong> will improve stability while aiming and increase weapon swap quickness.<\/p>\n

    The last few attachments are integral. The 8mm Klauser 5 Rnd Mags<\/strong> is a larger calibre round, which does more damage. This magazine will buff bullet velocity and range, bullet penetration and damage, giving you one-shot kill potential to the chest. You can equip the Lengthened<\/strong> ammo type for increased bullet velocity.<\/p>\n

    Finally, the Heavy Foregrip<\/strong> will reduce weapon swap and increase the recenter speed after burst fire by buffing aiming stability, recoil recovery and aim walking steadiness.<\/p>\n
