Centred around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/overwatch\/overwatch-s-mccree-officially-renamed-to-cole-cassidy\">Cole Cassidy<\/a>, the event will allow players to unlock a new skin and more.<\/p>\n<p>The event arrives just weeks following the rebranding of the hero formerly known as McCree. This rebranding has been months in development according to Blizzard, which comes in light of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/activision-blizzard-hit-with-another-lawsuit-for-false-and-misleading-statements-by-la-law-firm\">ongoing disputes at Activision Blizzard<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here&rsquo;s what we know about the upcoming event, New Blood Challenge from the start and end date, rewards and format.<\/p>\n<h2>Overwatch&rsquo;s New Blood Challenge dates and times<\/h2>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Time to buckle up. &#129312; <\/p>\n<p>Cassidy&rsquo;s New Blood Challenge begins Nov 9. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gk1QqBzIb5\">pic.twitter.com\/gk1QqBzIb5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Overwatch (@PlayOverwatch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PlayOverwatch\/status\/1457400061885882373?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 7, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\n<script src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async><\/script>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Overwatch New Blood Challenge will run for two weeks from 9th to 23rd November 2021. The limited-time event will likely start around 11 am PT \/ 2 pm ET \/ 7 pm BST based on previous events including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/overwatch\/overwatch-halloween-terror-2021-all-new-skins-and-how-to-unlock-them\">Halloween Terror<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Overwatch&rsquo;s New Blood Challenge event rewards<\/h2>\n<p>As with every Overwatch event, the New Blood Challenge will reward players with three cosmetic items upon completion. These will include a hero icon, spray and skin for the newly renamed hero.<\/p>\n<p>The teaser trailer didn&rsquo;t provide much information other than what the new hero skin will look like. (Picture: Activision Blizzard)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Overwatch&rsquo;s New Blood Challenge event format<\/h2>\n<p>Much like previous Overwatch events, players will be tasked with playing several mini-games to earn progression points. These points will grant players the chance to earn event-exclusive rewards focused on the hero. Once players have completed the mini-games, a hero skin for Cassidy will be unlocked; however, we have yet to determine the name of the skin.<\/p>\n<p>Blizzard has stated previously that plans for a narrative arc for Cassidy were initially meant to start in September but those plans were delayed.
