While those with the Standard Edition will have to wait until Battlefield 2042&#8217;s release date of 19th November, that might not be the worst thing in the world, as there are dozens of known bugs and issues in the game right now.<\/p>\n<p>Developer DICE and publisher EA are aware of a plethora of bugs and issues players are experiencing at launch. This ranges from progression and unlocks issues, to not being able to revive a teammate whilst in certain areas, some gadgets not working properly and more.<\/p>\n<h2>Battlefield 2042 bugs and issues detailed<\/h2>\n<p>Across all of the three main modes, from your standard Battlefield All-Out-Warfare mode to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/battlefield\/what-is-battlefield-2042-portal-all-maps-weapons-gadgets-vehicles-and-more\">Portal<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/battlefield\/battlefield-2042-hazard-zone-looks-like-tarkov-on-steroids\">Hazard Zone<\/a>, seeping into multiple <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/battlefield\/battlefield-2042-all-maps\">maps<\/a>, there are some bugs and issues to be found.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/CT4caTfZdmLbGx11sLKm-qo8BNxZdF_1Y3akSbhOBJg\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9CYXR0bGVmaWVsZC9CYXR0bGVmaWVsZDIwNDIvS25vd25Jc3N1ZXMvYmF0dGxlZmllbGQyMDQycG9ydGFsLmpwZz9fdD0xNjM2NzEyNTcz\" alt=\"Battlefield 2042 known issues bugs launch early access DICE update\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Portal is Battlefield 2042&#8217;s most-praised game mode so far. (Picture: EA \/ DICE)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The developer has already fixed an issue relating to the Xbox EA Play Trial not activating correctly.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the list of known issues and bugs for Battlefield 2042 below, with issues marked with a * being targetted for future updates right now.<\/p>\n<h3>XP Progression:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Our teams are reviewing reports of 128 Player Servers that aren&#8217;t correctly awarding XP for Score Events. If you&#8217;re not seeing Score Confirmations, it means you&#8217;re on an affected server. We&#8217;ll get to the bottom of it. Keep an eye on your feeds or consider playing smaller modes for now.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Specialists:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>We have temporarily disabled Dozer&#8217;s SOB-8 Ballistic Shield, it&#8217;s presently behaving outside our intended designs and we&#8217;re working to assess what changes we can make. This change takes effect across All-Out Warfare, Hazard Zone, and Battlefield Portal.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Map issues in Battlefield 2042<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Breakaway:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; We have identified some server instances of rubberbanding when the big silos on Breakaway are destroyed*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong> &#8211; On the mode Breakthrough, players will be unable to spawn on B1 while it is contested*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Kaleidoscope:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Bridge destruction states have a tendency to desync if the player joins at a late stage in the round*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; On the mode, Breakthrough, players will be unable to spawn on B1 while it is contested*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Discarded:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>PC, Xbox Series X|S &amp; PlayStation 5<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; There are some rare instances of visual flickering while playing on Discarded*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Manifest:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>PlayStation 5<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Within the Weather Station on Manifest, while the building is in a destroyed state there are rare instances that can cause severe flickering of our lighting systems, which has the potential to trigger those with Photosensitive Conditions*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Misc map issues:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All Platforms &#8211; We are aware of some miscellaneous issues causing players to become stuck within world geometry*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/EfSDvde2Hs5SkTyx7JvHjA0Lta3w-Gs9vS7VlWQYF8c\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9CYXR0bGVmaWVsZC9CYXR0bGVmaWVsZDIwNDIvS25vd25Jc3N1ZXMvYmF0dGxlZmllbGQyMDQyaXNzdWVzMi5qcGc_X3Q9MTYzNjcxMjU3Mg\" alt=\"Battlefield 2042 issues bugs launch early access DICE update\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">On some maps, players can get stuck in the terrain. (Picture: EA \/ DICE)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Bots&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Soldiers &#8211; All Platforms &#8211; In some situations, Bots are unable to revive downed players*&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>All Platforms &#8211; We&rsquo;re aware of Ranger malfunctioning when ordered over some obstacles, and we are working to improve this.<\/li>\n<li>All Platforms &#8211; Ranger can become non-responsive to &ldquo;Go To&rdquo; orders if the player is far away from Ranger, and we are similarly working to improve this.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>UI and Messaging:<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; There is currently no error message to indicate to the player that the game is still installing*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Subtitles are not present on video tutorials even if the subtitle setting is ON*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Battlefield Portal<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Loadouts have a slight tendency to not save when entering or leaving a match*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Battlefield Hazard Zone<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; When starting a second round, unlocks from the previous round are triggered during the intro sequence*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; When returning back to the main menu after a match, Specialist&rsquo;s textures may be slow to load*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; The &#8220;Vertical Sync&#8221; option does not have any effect when activated while using a 144hz monitor*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; &#8220;View Profile&#8221; option is not present in &#8220;Search EA ID&#8221; between same-platform Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 players*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; We&rsquo;re aware of a unique situation where accounts that have access to Battlefield 2042 across multiple platforms may cause Cross Play Friends to not appear*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; The attackers playercard doesn&#8217;t load after getting killed by another player*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211; Sprint\/Boost hint text is currently misleading*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/eIErGsQTjCJEIQO5hhkxKX3JxS2na-D3wtc9WwRt_Os\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9CYXR0bGVmaWVsZC9CYXR0bGVmaWVsZDIwNDIvS25vd25Jc3N1ZXMvQmF0dGxlZmllbGQyMDQyaXNzdWVzMS5qcGc_X3Q9MTYzNjcxMjU3Mg\" alt=\"Battlefield 2042 issues bugs launch early access DICE update\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Battlefield 2042&#8217;s maps are gigantic! (Picture: EA \/ DICE)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Progression &amp; Unlocks<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; The rank displayed in the bottom right of the Main Menu does not always update with the player&#8217;s actual rank achieved after an Online session.\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"2\">We&rsquo;re working to resolve this issue and will follow up with further updates at a later time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Weapon Skins are unlocked but will show an incomplete progress bar until the game has been restarted*\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"2\">Restarting the game will fix this for you, however a fix has been made for an upcoming update.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; All Locked Character \/ Weapon \/ Vehicle skins are missing their Mastery Rank target*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; The &ldquo;Fly Not Ye Cowards&rdquo; Playercard Art unlock objective is currently incorrect, you will need to visit two locations on El Alamein, in the same life, to unlock this*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; EMP Mine is currently incorrectly labelled. (Picture: EA \/ DICE)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Weapons &amp; Gadgets<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Recon Drone:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Players are currently unable to deploy the OV-P Recon Drone while prone*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>PC<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; The OV-P Recon Drone is not currently locking onto enemy targets or vehicles*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>XDR Holo Sight:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; We&rsquo;re aware of some instances of flickering when ADS with the XDR Holo Sight*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Vehicles<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; On rare occasions, vertical aiming in a vehicle can be inoperable upon vehicle entry*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Some vehicles may not have controller vibration when used*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; We&rsquo;re aware of some vehicles not having RTAO (Ray-traced Ambient Occlusion)*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211; Rockets from the MD540 Nightbird that impact the ground can sometimes appear as being frozen*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Hazard Zone<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>PC<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; We&rsquo;re aware of players experiencing an issue with mouse input when it comes to selecting a Specialist within Hazard Zone\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"2\">While we are working to resolve this in an upcoming patch, players can bypass this by selecting their chosen Specialist with the spacebar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Players are currently unable to revive downed teammates if they are inside the MV38-Condor (at Extraction Point)*<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>All Platforms<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; We&rsquo;re aware of some rare instances of the Extraction Streak not updating after multiple extractions have taken place*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Battlefield Portal<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Battlefield Builder \/ Web<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; We&#8217;re aware of messaging taking place upon the creation of an Experience that suggests you were &#8220;Unable to Create&#8221; the Experience.
