During the recent Elden Ring Closed Network Test, players had the opportunity to try their hands at one of the five playable classes that will be available at launch. Choosing the best class in-game can be the deciding factor for how you’ll be building your character and therefore, changing your entire gameplay experience.

Likewise, we dive into one of the five starting classes, the Enchanted Knight. Here’s what you need to know about the Enchanted Knight class in Elden Ring, from its starting stats to weapons and armour, and the general playstyle.

The Enchanted Knight is all about Intelligence, Strength, Mind, Dexterity and Endurance as showcased by its highest starting stats.

As the Elden Ring’s class with the highest base Intelligence stat at 16, Strength at 15, Mind at 13, Dexterity at 12 and Endurance at 11, the Enchanted Knight class is best for those wanting to play as a dedicated mage or spell-casting swordsman. Just like the other Elden Ring classes we know about so far, the Enchanted Warrior class starts at level 5.

With the starting stats in mind, the Enchanted Knight combines high Intelligence and Strength for players wanting to deal some significant magic damage or to augment melee attacks with magic.

The Enchanted Knight features some really good armour, which is highlighted by the Carian Glintstone Shield. Considered to be one of the best shields in Elden Ring, the best qualities of the Carian Glintstone Shield is its 100 physical damage reduction when blocking and 100 critical damage when attacking.

Below, we have listed all the starting weapons, armour and sorceries for the Enchanted Knight class in Elden Ring.

Additionally, the Enchanted Knight class also starts the game with two Flask of Crimson Tears, which restores HP, and two Flask of Cerulean Tears, which restores FP, to prolong your presence in the heat of battle.

Similarly, if you do need more sorceries for your weapons build, travel to Lingrave in Post Town Remains and locate the merchant, Sorceress Selen to purchase sorceries from her.

Granted, players can find many items, including weapons and armour pieces, to increase various stats depending on the build you’re going for. As such, the starting equipment for the Enchanted Knight should do players well in the early stages of the game.

According to FromSoftware, the Enchanted Knight class is being described as the following: “These Knights have embraced the power of Glintstone, facing enemies in melee combat while simultaneously casting spells. They often seek out and destroy those who uses magic for nefarious purposes.”

As the Enchanted Knight closely mirrors the “Sorcerer” class in Dark Souls, players will want to use casting sorceries as their primary form of attack. This will greatly benefit players especially since the Enchanted Knight will start the game with two sorceries – the Glintstone Pebble and Carian Piercer.

Even so, the Enchanted Knight class can use these sorceries, together with the Winged Speak or Carian Sorcerer Staff, to deal high amounts of magic damage than physical damage. Having a build based on augmenting your melee attacks with magic damage can see players outperforming almost every enemy and boss you will encounter in the Lands Between.

In seven days, these five brave Tarnished will cross the Sea of Fog.#ELDENRINGpic.twitter.com/t7SNykhr3E

Enchanted Knight starting stats
