Battlefield 2042<\/a> is finally here, and despite numerous not-so-small problems, no one would argue that the game doesn’t boast beautiful graphics with astonishingly huge and detailed maps just waiting for players to explore them during epic battles. <\/p>\n

With the game being such a beauty, players on the next-gen consoles are definitely in for a treat when they finally boot up Battlefield 2042 on their PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles.<\/p>\n

And while playing the game at 4K and 60fps might be the ideal setting for the majority of players who just want to enjoy all the details in high resolution, for those players who are more competitively oriented, the perfect graphics settings are more about high responsiveness, low latency, and a huge number of FPS.<\/p>\n

Luckily, the next-gen consoles are capable of running games at 120 FPS, but does Battlefield 2042 support 120Hz on the PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles?<\/p>\n

Sony’s PlayStation 5 supports 120 FPS natively, with the “Performance” mode enabled, but in order to run games at 120 FPS, developers need to opt-in for their games to support 120 FPS on the next-gen consoles.<\/p>\n

The same goes for the Xbox Series X, which supports gaming up to 4K at 120Hz, but it depends on the developers if they will implement this for their games or not.<\/p>\n

So, did DICE implement 120 FPS support for PS5 & Xbox Series X consoles?<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the answer is they did not, and there is no 120Hz support for Battlefield 2042.<\/strong><\/p>\n
