Imagine, for a moment if you will, that your debut match for the four-time CS:GO<\/a> Major organization, Astralis, takes place on LAN at the Royale Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark. The pressure is already immense, especially since you are facing NIP, and therefore, superstar Nicolai “Dev1ce” Reedtz<\/a> who left Astralis earlier this year.<\/p>\n

If that isn’t bad enough, try throwing in getting sick, and having to throw up between maps. That’s exactly what Benjamin “⁠blameF⁠” Bremer experienced on 24th November at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n

blameF destroys NIP despite sickness<\/h2>\n

With the odds stacked against Benjamin “⁠blameF⁠” Bremer in his debut match for Astralis, having become quite ill before their match versus NIP got underway, the 24-year-old Danish player showed incredible strength.<\/p>\n

Not only did blameF continue playing, while reportedly puking between maps, but he also put up a monster performance, with 49 kills across the two maps (Nuke and Overpass) played.<\/p>\n

blameF ended as the second-highest rated player in the match, only outdone by Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke, the other player in the Astralis lineup making their debut.<\/p>\n

blameF took to Twitter<\/a> to talk his first win under the iconic Astralis banner, and update his fans about being sick, stating: “Holy crap.. puked so much before, in between and after the match that I could barely speak and see out of my eyes cuz of tears, still happy that my team had my back and I tried my very best. 2-0 vs NIP what an awesome debut.” <\/p>\n

At the time of writing, it is unclear as to what is ailing blameF but it definitely isn’t the taste of defeat.<\/p>\n

We do hope that he recovers quickly and that it isn’t anything serious. His determination to compete at the highest level of CS:GO even while being ill in such a manner is, for the lack of a better term, kinda heroic.<\/p>\n
