Vulpix is one of the original 151 Pokémon and is a beloved Fire-type in the franchise. The developers of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl<\/a> decided to bring the adorable fox back for the Sinnoh remakes. However, this was done with a small caveat, allowing only a certain group of players to catch Vulpix. <\/p>\n

A straight Fire-type, Vulpix evolves into Ninetales. Their Alolan form has not been included in the Sinnoh remakes but this is actually a good thing for players looking to add a Fire-type to their team. Sinnoh is historically void of Fire-types and Vulpix could be a solid addition for players who didn’t pick Chimchar at the beginning of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. <\/p>\n

Below, players can see exactly what they need to do to capture Vulpix in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. <\/p>\n

Finding Vulpix in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl<\/h2>\n

To start, you’ll need to have beaten the game and acquired the National Dex from Professor Rowan\/Oak. This comes after seeing all 151 Pokémon in the Sinnoh Dex. <\/p>\n

With the National Dex in your possession, you can go about capturing Vulpix. However, this can only be done if you’re playing Pokémon Shining Pearl. Vulpix is a Shining Pearl exclusive<\/a>, meaning Brilliant Diamond players can’t catch it in the wild. <\/p>\n

If you do own Shining Pearl and have the National Dex, then you can begin looking for Vulpix. The only location to spawn Vulpix is in the Grand Underground. The easiest spot to find the Pokémon is in Typhlo Cavern, which has lava rivers and red rocks in it. However, any smaller cave that has lava or rocky landscapes has the ability to spawn a Vulpix. <\/p>\n

Once you find one of these caves, you need to enter and see if it spawns. If it hasn’t, then exit the cave and re-enter to change up the spawns. Just keep repeating this process until you’ve managed to find the Fire-type Pokémon. <\/p>\n
