Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 1<\/a> drops on 8th December. Treyarch’s latest blog post<\/a> has fans brewing with excitement after teasing a new Purge Objective and five additions to the Altar of Covenants. If this wasn’t enough, Treyarch also revealed a new menu of weapons and launchers that players can use to slay the army of undead.<\/p>\n

Although the new COD Vanguard<\/a> Zombies season will not feature a new map, these new feature additions will surely keep fans hooked and coming back for more. Interestingly, Treyarch made no mention of Der Anfang’s main questline, which will presumably be unveiled at a later date.<\/p>\n

With that said, here’s everything you need to know about COD Vanguard Zombies Season 1!<\/p>\n

COD Vanguard Season 1 Zombies: New Purge Objective<\/h2>\n

Starting from 8th December, COD Vanguard Zombies players will enjoy a brand-new Purge Objective to conquer in Der Anfang. This new game mode will task players with eradicating “ethereal worms” called Augmentors.<\/p>\n

“These aethereal worms feed on the dimensional energy that powers Kortifex and can only be stopped by capturing powerful Control Runes. But beware: the Augmentors will spawn waves of enemies as a defence mechanism as you attempt to purge them from our dimension,” noted Treyarch.<\/p>\n

This objective is available in all arenas, from Stalingrad to Shi No Numa and sounds similar to Harvest.<\/p>\n

COD Vanguard Season 1 Zombies: All new Covenants and Upgrades<\/h2>\n

There are a total of 14 upgrades across five new Covenants to stop Kortifex’s forces, including an upgrade that calls back to a classic Zombies Perk.<\/p>\n
