Not only did a new trailer for the movie sequel be shown featuring Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna, but the first proper look at the franchise&#8217;s new title, Sonic Frontiers, confirmed rumours of an open-world Team Sonic developed game.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>First <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/sonic-colors-ultimate-announced-september-new-project-teased\">teased back in May<\/a> with a quick clip of Sonic running through the woods of an unspecified location, the new TGA trailer gave fans a better look at what exactly Sonic Frontiers is.<\/p>\n<p>The official name for the new world which Sonic will get to freely explore is Starfall Islands, a location filled with lush greenery, mysterious ruins, and vast open spaces for you to dash through at supersonic speed.<\/p>\n<p>Other than the titular character himself, not much else was shown, including potential allies like Tales, Knuckles, or even Shadow The Hedgehog. Dr Robotnik (or Eggman, if you&#8217;re one of those) is also conspicuously absent from the teaser.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/o9v6-IJ4MOwTWBdM7F5iNFd315vpn-nIDgc91dvqvZE\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9TdGFyX1dhcnMvbW9uZXlzaG90LnBuZw\" alt=\"sonic frontiers\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Sonic Frontiers looks quite spectacular.
