The Genshin Impact 2.4 update<\/a>, entitled “Fleeting Colors in Flight”<\/a>, is now available, bringing a tonne new features and events during Phase I. From the Enkanomiya region<\/a>, new threatening enemies, a powerful 5-star weapon, the return of the Lantern Rite<\/a>, new characters<\/a> and more.<\/p>\n

We’ve already shared details on the “May Fortune Find You<\/a>” event for some free rewards, and now, it’s time to look at the A Study in Potions with our complete guide, featuring the requirements to join, the release date and time, as well as the rewards Travelers will be able to acquire.<\/p>\n

How to join Genshin Impact 2.4 A Study in Potions event<\/h2>\n

There are a couple of requirements that Travelers need to meet in order to join the A Study in Potions event during Genshin Impact 2.4 Phase I.<\/p>\n

If you meet the requirements, you can start helping Mondstadt alchemist Timaeus in their attempt to create a legendary medication.<\/p>\n

First up, you need to have reached at least Adventure Rank 30 to join in on the event. The second requirement is that players will have needed to complete the Archon Quest Chapter I: Act II “Farewell, Archaic Lord” before the event becomes active for them.<\/p>\n

When does A Study in Potions release?<\/h2>\n

The A Study in Potions event will release on 7th January 2022 at roughly 10:00 GMT.<\/p>\n

Travelers will have ten (10) days to complete the event. Its end date is 17th January 2022 at roughly 10:00 GMT.<\/p>\n

A Study in Potions – Trials and rewards<\/h2>\n

By completing A Study in Potions, players will get Hero’s Wit, Weapon Ascension materials, Talent Level-Up materials, Primogems, Mora and other rewards. At the time of writing, developer miHoYo has not specified the exact number of rewards.<\/p>\n

The event is all about making it through all the trial rounds. It has three trial rounds, with the first one activating the day the event starts (7th January 2022). A new trial round will open up every two (2) days.<\/p>\n

Each of the trial rounds will feature four (4) floor challenges that players need to complete, defeating enemies in the process.<\/p>\n

As with other trial-based events, there are Normal, Hard, Extreme and Fearless difficulties. We recommend using Smoldersleet Potion abilities for an easier time.<\/p>\n

Keep in mind that you cannot use other items or food during the challenges, and you need to pick the four members of your party carefully in order to achieve victory. Having trial characters in your party will not help with the activation requirement for Elemental Resonance.<\/p>\n
