The news comes after Square Enix had suspended sales on the expansion days following its release due to congested servers.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, many Final Fantasy players experienced many problems from long queue times and login issues that prevented them from playing the expansion. Now, it appears that the servers are welcoming new players with the expansion returning for digital sales.<\/p>\n<h2>Endwalker to return to digital storefronts<\/h2>\n<p>Detailed in a <a href=\"https:\/\/na.finalfantasyxiv.com\/lodestone\/topics\/detail\/9a6bed5c06ae511c363ece5ead0a98a3986554a2#07\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">blog post<\/a> on 14th January 2022, Naoki Yoshida outlined plans for the future of Final Fantasy XIV Online. While he acknowledged the growing frustrations players experienced since the release of the Endwalker expansion, he details plans to alleviate the issue.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-twitter-extracted-i1642336290356807226=\"true\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Our Producer &amp; Director Naoki Yoshida has made an announcement regarding the plan to expand <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/FFXIV?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#FFXIV<\/a>&#8216;s operations.<\/p>\n<p>&#127760; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/tUhWPIfH7H\">https:\/\/t.co\/tUhWPIfH7H<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Wu0w5ES16E\">pic.twitter.com\/Wu0w5ES16E<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; FINAL FANTASY XIV (@FF_XIV_EN) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FF_XIV_EN\/status\/1481936893780451333?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 14, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\n<script src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async><\/script>\n<\/p>\n<p>One of these plans which will address the future of Final Fantasy XIV Online is &ldquo;resuming digital sales&rdquo; for the Endwalker expansion. The expansion will be made available on 25th January 2022 at 5 pm JST \/ 8 am GMT, with Square Enix planning to reopen registration for the free trial to monitor &ldquo;server stability&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p>According to Yoshida, the decision to bring Endwalker back on the market was multiple factors. The data centre will coincide with Endwalker&rsquo;s re-release on 25th January 2022 at 5 pm JST \/ 8 am GMT.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Square Enix has made plans to expand their Japanese, North American and European Data Centers to help remedy server congestion and instability when Endwalker is back on sale.
