Dark Souls 3<\/a> players were recently alerted to a new security threat on Twitter. As of writing, the exploit only affects the PC version of the game, with no word if console players could also be susceptible.<\/p>\n

Players have been warned to avoid playing Dark Souls 3’s online mode until a patch is released from developer From Software. However, the exploit could spell potential doom for the studio’s upcoming release, Elden Ring.<\/p>\n

New Dark Souls 3 exploit could brick PCs<\/h2>\n

In a series of tweets on 22nd January 2022, Twitter user SkeleMann issued a PSA alerting avid Dark Souls 3 PC players about a new exploit that poses a significant risk when playing its online mode. They explained the exploit essentially turns the game into malware vulnerable to hackers.<\/p>\n
