A new era in racing simulation is about to begin, as the next instalment of the legendary saga created by Polyphony Digital is coming in just a matter of weeks exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.<\/p>\n

Announced in E3 2020, Gran Turismo 7 will be the first multi-console entry in the series, featuring a blast of nostalgia with the comeback of a fan-favourite mode, classic race tracks and vehicles, and a hyper-realistic experience specially crafted for the PS5 users.<\/p>\n

With that said, let’s take a look at everything you need to know about this new title in the virtual motorsport world.<\/p>\n

Gran Turismo 7: Gameplay and circuits<\/h2>\n

Gran Turismo 7 has been seen as a celebration of 25 years of the franchise enjoyed by a large player base worldwide from its initial stages of development. Moreover, the franchise has received international recognition from acclaimed bodies, such as the Fédération internationale de l’automobile (FIA) and the International Olympic Committee.<\/p>\n

For this reason, this latest instalment will be utterly focused on mixing the best of the previous entries in a single game, starting with the classic Gran Turismo 4 menus. In addition, the game boasts the return of game modes focused on the GT experience and a new traditional Single Player Campaign.<\/p>\n

Beyond this, the return of special events, championships, driving school, parts store, used car dealership and GT Auto, along with all the modes present in Gran Turismo Sport, such as GT Sports, Brand Central or Discover, will be maintained.<\/p>\n

However, the most significant novelty will come with the number of tracks included within Gran Turismo 7, as players will be able to experience some of the game’s most iconic tracks. Some examples include Deep Forest Raceway, Daytona International Speedway, Le Mans and the Nürburgring, all of which will be joining a list of more than 90 circuits available at launch.<\/p>\n

These circuits will benefit from new technologies created especially for Gran Turismo 7, including a variable climate system, realistic decorations, and a spectacular graphic section. In addition, thanks to the laser tracing implemented by Polyphony on some of the tracks, circuits will look like faithful recreations of their real-life counterparts.<\/p>\n

The game also boasts a new photo mode called Scapes, with more than 2,500 locations spread over 40 countries. Better still, players can capture HDR photographs and enjoy ultra-realism with excellent lighting details, thanks to the ray-tracing built into the PS5 version.<\/p>\n

Gran Turismo 7: All cars available at launch<\/h2>\n

Of course, one of the biggest attractions in Gran Turismo is the extensive menu of vehicles, which has been leaked in recent days. The game boasts an impressive catalogue of more than 420 vehicles at launch, including various classes and brands from across the globe.<\/p>\n

Although the entire selection hasn’t been revealed so far, at least 250 of the cars already listed are from major brands such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the complete list of vehicles is too large to cover here, so we’ll cover it in a different article later. However, we can tell you that some classics like the Ford GT40, Lamborghini Countach, Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Coupe, and even the rare Honda BEAT will be featured in the game.<\/p>\n

Supercar enthusiasts can also look forward to the likes of the Aston Martin Vulcan, the Mazda RX-7 Spirit Type A, the Alfa Romeo 4C Gr. 3, the Honda NSX Gr. 3, the McLaren F1 GTR and the Porsche 911 RSR in Gran Turismo 7.<\/p>\n

Through the Tuning Shop, players can also modify the engine, tires, brakes, suspension, turbocharger, weight reduction, rigidity, and other internal elements. In GT Auto, players will have more than 130 tires available, in addition to a vinyl editor and more than 600 customizable aerodynamic components.<\/p>\n

While you’re waiting for a race, you can also enjoy the GT Café mode, where you can explore collections of cars that “have cultural significance” in the past, present and future. Otherwise, players can find missions to be completed by acquiring cars at the races, at Brand Central and the Used Cars Dealer.<\/p>\n

Gran Turismo 7: Editions, size and release date<\/h2>\n

Gran Turismo 7 will be available in two editions, both of which will have separate bonuses, depending on which one you decide to get.<\/p>\n

        If you purchased the Standard Edition and plan to upgrade it to the 25th Anniversary one, you will need to pay 10 USD to transition from one version to another.<\/p>\n

        According to the PlayStation Game Size account on Twitter, it has been confirmed the PS5 version will weigh in at 89,445GB, excluding the Day One patch. Given this, it’s more than likely that you’ll need to have at least 110GB of space available before the pre-download is available on 25th February.<\/p>\n
